It is interesting to see the momentum building behind renewables and, by implication, energy storage. We have had in the last couple of days shareholders pushing corporations to greener thinking, Mark Carney brow beating global banks about climate change and protesters on the city streets disrupting transport. It seems that we have gone beyond a tipping point and the world is not waiting for the slow moving governments to address the issue any more.

You would hope they would be good as they have been flagged as such by the CEO on more than one occasion. I am looking for 23k oz to be consistent with his comments. If they match Q4 then that would be great. More would be exceptional. 20k or less and I would be wondering what he had been smoking!

TA is one aspect of investment as fundamentals are another. I primarily use fundamentals but I do look at TA to understand what is the likely direction of the investment in the short term.

Just to clarify, the resources available can support much more than 10,000mtv per annum should the demand merit it. This will likely require mass VRFB adoption or usage in Li-ion technology in the manner suggested earlier but an indication of such mass adoption should send Bushveld looking for ways in which production can be significantly increased.

Agreed. Bushveld are in an enviable position to flexibly address the market in the long term. Just need to communicate to the market that the production issues have been/are being addressed and we should see the business developing nicely. In my experience the share price ultimately responds in such a situation.

Is capitulation the term you object to Pigpen70? It is a market term not mine and refers to a point in the trading cycle commonly associated with a market bottom:

Given the resource base available at Vametco and Brits, not to mention Mokopane, and the infrastructure available to cheaply upgrade production, should demand increase significantly, whether through steel, energy storage or any other application, Bushveld are probably best positioned to scale up production in a cost effective fashion. The resources could certainly support a much larger operation for decades.

This makes a lot of sense. If the kiln is an issue and to get to higher production rates requires upgrading anyway then the investment is an obvious step.

The electrolyte facility adds an extra dimension as it will take part processed product. I do not know the chemistry sufficiently I'm afraid to understand the design implications of that on the processing plant.

Interesting stuff. The application for portables and EVs is obvious although, whilst useful, it would seem less compelling for grid storage. As I understand a typical EV uses 10kg+ of cobalt in each vehicle so this would add significantly to demand should it prove successful.

Actually, with those delayed trades volume is now higher than the strike resolution. The last time it was higher was on March 26th 2018 (it was much higher then). That was the day of the placing.

The company has never commented on share price movements and I doubt that they ever will. Nor do I think that it is necessary. Real, positive news is the best answer to a depressed share price.

If they were into TA and sentiment analysis they should possibly feel optimistic about a bit of a relief rally, but that avenue tends to lead to a beating as well!

The volume today was the highest for a long time - comparable to September 21st 2018, which is when the strike resolution was announced. If yesterday had the sniff of capitulation, today reeks of it.

I think that they are a bit on the low side at the moment, for obvious reasons.

Would have thought that we would have had one today and a weird one at that, given everything else that has happened.

I would love to know the trigger for the brownfield acquisition. What circumstances need to come together to do the deal?

And what was the Q1 production target?
