I disagree with this statement. He is always making statements that he doesn't back up. I have asked in the past for him to produce some evidence about a statement. No response. Do not trust him. I'm not saying that you should trust those he attacks as this is often not the case. But that doesn't mean that you should trust him.

I must confess that when I saw the first quarter production I thought that they would find it difficult to hit the year target. But this has been reiterated since despite the fact that they only announced completion of the upgrade to 3750 just before the end of June. To be confident of hitting the target they would need to have something up their sleeves. Even so, based on the information we know it would seem unlikely that we could hit any more than your Q2 guestimate.

I remember seeing Ba Gua and Xing Yi (and Tai Chi) in "The Way of the Warrior" (incidentally, the sensei I studied with did the opening sequence as I recall to that TV programme). I seem to remember that the spelling was different in the book - Pa Kua and Tsing I spring to mind (the spelling in our alphabet is a bit of a phonetic exercise). Ba Gua was interesting in its circular movement whereas Xing Yi was more linear. It's all interesting stuff.

I agree. There is little commonality between traditional martial arts and MMA. Obviously from my posts I prefer the former but can appreciate the capabilities of those who participate in the latter. I love to watch demonstrations of traditional arts but even free fighting in those arts bears little resemblance to kata/forms which are there just training aids.

I remember reading about an informal, small scale study carried out at an American university into grappling vs striking. They had 10 boxers against 10 wrestlers in a ring with some rules (I can't recall what they were but it wasn't as straightforward as knockout or submission). The wrestlers won 9-1 and the only reason the boxers won one because the boxer was an ex-wrestler!

Going back to Bruce Lee momentarily, it would be rather too dismissive to refer to him as just a movie star. I believe from every interview I have ever read/seen that most thought of him as far more than that with a real respect for his fighting ability.

I was fortunate enough to start training with a real old warrior - an 8th Dan Hanshi (sadly passed away now). Apart from being tiny and as hard as nails, he taught that a martial art is much more than fighting and defending yourself! I don't have an awful lot of time for someone who just smashes others and gives nothing in return.

I confess that I am an old romantic. I would like to think that McGregor would be finished in seconds.

Interestingly I was watching some videos about Bruce Lee the other day. Interviews with both expert martial artists and "pro fighters". The former always said he was very polite but wiped the floor with everyone during what I would refer to as kumite. The latter (who were in the somewhat less 'noble' street fighting fraternity) said.... exactly the same! They couldn't lay a hand on him and when he hit he hit hard despite the fact that he only weighed about 10 stones. His key attribute was his speed and if you look into Jeet June Do (I confess that I have never practised it) it is all about adapting without any particular adherence to style or form and, more specifically, attacking hard, fast and first!

Now, that 398,423 sale at 10:51:44 is rather interesting. I always like large, odd numbered sells after a period of round number selling. It has a hint of Wogen warrants to me and may well be the last sell related to the transaction. If so, I would expect to see a warrant RNS. I do suspect, however, that there is another significant seller active, which is testament to the strength of underlying buying here considering the continued rise.

Strange that this is considered a buy when the transactions immediately either side of it were buys but at considerably higher prices but the subsequent transaction at the same price was a sell. A large buy is likely to command a premium. I suspect that this is a sell that was carried out during the day and when completed removed the drag on the share price which resulted in the late surge.

I think that the statement is slightly ambiguous and will await the detailed model for BE before commenting fully. However, a couple of points. The target is revenue based and we should be aware that a chunk of this will be taken by our partner(s). I think that this is a total market size so our take is likely to be considerably smaller. That said, we are well positioned in a growing market that has very few players so I would expect us to do well from the proposition.

Not really. I enjoyed Chemistry 'A' level/'S' level and considered doing a degree but went down a different path.

It has appeared on occasion on these boards just not discussed that often. It looks like we may be about to delve into electrons, p-shells, etc. though!
