… for COPL and this bb. Lots of good posts, all nice and civil. Just how I like it. Potential... controversial to some but I like the word AND it's better than a few other 'P' words I know.
I don't profess to be any kind of expert but I do know potential when I see it and COPL right now has bags of it. Or should I say drums! Like any stock there is potential (that word again) risk to your capital investment. Investing in COPL is no different.
Right now I wouldn't be anywhere else (although BOIL sounds interesting too) for a potential winner.
Wishing you all a peaceful night and to another good day ahead for COPLers.

I have family currently living in Rostov-on-Don and Crimea. They have told me about the thousands of old, women and children who have been evacuated from the Donbas and Lughansk regions. Of more significance is the call up of all men under 45 who are on the military reserve list. This is something that in the last few years has not been enforced but very recently it has started again. The timing is significant. I can also report an explosion occurring within the Rostov region that is being investigated by the Russian authorities. My feeling is that if this proves (who do you believe) to be an attack on Russian Federation territory then they will retaliate. For any Tank enthusiasts out there Rostov is the place to be!
Lots of games being played right now and I think the West...the Septics Deep State and NATO will be gutted if the Russians DON'T go in... Just my thoughts
... a relatively small investment in a good PR/IR team would pay for itself many times over. Utilise all the digital tools available to get the word out and promote the company. The current company website is dated and not user friendly but it probably wouldn't take too much to bring it up to speed. The current batch of PIs definitely deserve better comms from the company. In particular some of the longer term holders here (some for an incredible seven years waiting). There are probably people on this bb who would be capable of doing it for them... any volunteers?!
With all the criticism of the PR... in Art we have a genuine old school Oil Man who is able to almost like an oil diviner. We can buy in PR people but finding men like Arthur Millhollan... well, that's a rare commodity indeed.

...I forgot to add that already the board has informative posts. I am not ashamed to admit I know very little about O & G or the ascociated stocks. I'm still learning (and trying to work out some of the abreviations!) but with the posts here the jigsaw puzzle is starting to come together and the picture is getting clearer.
Many thanks

... what on earth is going on? Blue not red... This isn't right!
Seriously though... This price is a bargain, just my opinion of course. My average is 36p and as far as I'm concerned that is dirt cheap too. I won't be selling a bean until at least the first quarterly report issued after Frontier starts producing. Even then I think I'll probably hold a little longer.
This stock in the next 12 to 18 months is easily £5 a share (I am being ultra conservative in this estimate). I hope it's more but I am very optimistic with this stock.
£2.75 and I can retire
£3.50 and I can comfortably retire
£5.70 and... oh Lord, I daren't think about it.
In the meantime patiently waiting for all the good news to come flowing in. Not long to wait now.

... simply because I have no significant cash reserves to buy more! I think anybody getting in now has done very well. Mentally I have zoomed out and just try to think of the bigger, longer-term picture. It's where COPL m/cap and sp are in H2 and Q1-Q3 2023 that are my periods of real interest. Of course by then a JV could be in place or even a T/O event. Who knows....
I wouldn't want to be out of this share over the next 18 months!
DB
Hello 34quint... looks like it was a bit nippy there. Royal Engineers cap badge? At least you had the wonderful High Leg Combat Boot... that crippled a lot of us. I started off with wearing DMS and putees, no trouser blouser elasticated clips for me... not till post 84... I see you have what looks like a famed SAS Arctic Windproof Smock and NI gloves... and of course a superb SLR. Happy Days.
Anyway, what plans do you have for when COPL explodes... probably not the best wording to use for a Gas & Oil company!?
... of some excellent posts. Notably Tiburn... outstanding research and knowledge. The confidence in the longterm prospects for COPL really show in the posts and this in turn gives me confidence too. I've made a lot of mistakes over the last 10 months and I'm relying on COPL (along with another stock awaiting relisting) in coming good over the next 12 months.
My decision to invest in COPL was made relatively but I honestly believe that I have bought... almost a winning lottery ticket that I just have to cash in at the right time. Just a matter of biding your time and being patient.
Good Luck

... if there were to be a complete T/O what would the likely time scales be for completion and for 'money in the bank' for the shareholders be? There would obviously be a shareholder vote to either accept or reject the offer and if it were accepted I presume the stock would be suspended for a while.
I ask this question to the bb as I have no experience where a stock I hold has been taken over but I would guess the experienced Oil & Gas people here have a much better opinion of this than I do.
Another question - All things being equal and assuming (I know you should never do that but...) a favourable or better CPR, what is the likelihood of a T/O or JV? Just a rough percentage guess. Personally i will sit on the fence and say a 50% - 75% chance of it happening BUT I'm basing it on very little evidence.
(Turns around and walks back to the suspect) "Just one more thing..." What sort of offer do you think 1.5Bbl OIP would generate for COPL and its shareholders? I'm guessing a low of 750M to a high of 3B US Dollars (and anywhere inbetween). But what do I know? (very little about O & G it seems but everyday I learn a little more) In the meantime I'm just looking forward to the CPR, Cuda data and the result 30th March.
Patience, patience and more patience is the watchword now...
DB
... why over the next 12 months the sp could NOT reach £5... £10 or even £15 (or even more if you believe some people)?
Before you answer, exclude the following scenarios: -
Arthur was having us on all along and is now in a home for distressed oilmen
The price of Brent/WTI drops to £3 a barrel
We get T/O with an offer for £1.50 a share which incredibly gets accepted by all the holders
...and the usual Acts of God, War, Famine, locusts etc...
I make a joke (yeah I know don't give up your day job) but for the life of me right now I cannot see what will stop this stock from rising many fold once it gets independent confirmation i.e. CPR and the first wells are set up in August 2022. Think what the M/Cap will be in August 2023... just 18 months away. As for T/Os we have to be looking at 1B as a minimum surely? To the big players that is almost chicken feed.
All I know is if I had some spare cash I know where I'd be putting it. Right I'm off... up at 0415 to do a 12 hour shift... home by 1900hrs AND you wonder why I need this to get to £3.50 - then I can comfortably retire. See, I told you I had an agenda!
Good Night...
DB
...about this bb. Take Stas20s post at 1131. Excellent, common sense and giving us a bit of Opex too. Great post in my opinion (no we're not related). There will always be characters who post with some sort of agenda. Some are even paid per post... I still find it hard to believe that actually happens.
I have an agenda. I want the stock to rise in value. When it gets to a certain value I will sell some or even all of my holding. I'm not asking anybody to buy, sell or hold. We're all adults and you make your own decisions. For what it is worth and being open I can tell you I increased my holding with a purchase of 100k of stock. I have a reasonable investment in the stock now and will if I can release funds to get some more if I can and if the sp hasn't rapidly headed north. As well as paid rampers/derampers I still cannot believe the sp is still so low. But maybe I'm less risk averse than your average financial analyst.
To all the COPL experts on here who give their time and share their experience with us on this bb THANK YOU!
DB
@crossed... yes that's a possibility too. I expect there are a number of factors which will dictate the date of re-listing. At the moment there are still more questions than answers but no doubt we will get most of the answers in the course of time.
Cando66. For what it is worth I do believe at some point it will come good here (whether I sold or not!). I just hope that the BoD can improve the comms... even just a little bit to give the LTHs something and to improve the general sentiment towards the stock.
Good Luck and I'll drop in the bb now and then.
... I have had to sell the last of my holding here for several reasons which I'll not bore you with.
The great news is that I can almost guarantee you'll get good news either within hours or a by the end of the week!
I wish you and your investments here the best of luck and I hope it comes good for you soon.

I was hoping for listing by end of March at the latest by now I'm not sure that is going to happen. May have to consider the end of April as a target for listing. In the meantime I am sure that AAA will give all of us further comms on progress.
My gut feeling is that there's a lot going on behind the scenes. It will be interesting to see if the company will make another bid for Audiobook. We'll have to wait and see.
