I did my due diligence and liked what I saw. I liked the technology which I think will (whether we like it or not) become a significant part of all our day to day lives, so I wanted to get in on the ground level. I liked the bi-product i.e. Bitcoin mining etc. Another potentially life changing product when fiat currency finally goes down the plug-hole (unless we get back on the Gold Standard). And believe it or not I like Peter Wall as our CEO. I think he's innovative, progressive and genuine. Just my opinion. So, what can we take from this, well...
If you don't like the company, the technology, the bi-product or for that matter Peter Wall please do feel free to tell us once on this board (and thank you for your valued contribution) but please 'with all due respect' - BUGGER OFF!

I would suggest a minimum of 80p with the possibility of it being significantly higher.

Try to look beyond the day to day stuff and think in longer timescales - in Argo's case at least 12 - 24 months. Give the company some breathing room. Think of Argo as a bare rose planted in the Autumn. When the state of the art Texas facility is up and running, don't forget about Pluto and of course the potential for Bitcoin to go to much higher levels once people realise that traditional fiat currency is eroding their wealth... when that time comes the rose that is Argo will be covered in beautiful perfumed flowers and our garden will be filled with that perfume.

I do hope that wasn't too flowery for you all. Talking of flowery the last time I was here back in June Gatti and Pearls were running riot on the board, have they emigrated or what? Anyway as K3V said, "Try not to panic".

... is purely speculative, high risk with potential for massive gains. I'm optimistic otherwise I would never have put my money here. Right now I am down 60% so on the face of it a poor investment, however, over the next 12 - 24 months my expectation is to see some great progress in R & D, Cryptocurrency mining and other applications for Blockchain technology (which I believe is in its infancy right now).

If I had some spare cash now would be a good time for me to average down my holding... if I had the cash! Anyway i suggest holders just zoom out, think of the longer term and give QBT the chance to develop.

...on the current situation is that there will be an extension to the deadline possibly going into October/early November and that a deal will be struck to absorb Audioboom. I think there will be a much improved offer to BOOM shareholders, improved enough to get the takeover passed. To quote figures would be pure speculation so I won't but I'm sure you all have a 'realistic' idea of what you would accept. I'm not a particular fan of share swops i.e. giving Audioboom shareholders so many AAA shares plus cash... personally I'd prefer a staight cash offer - you know where you stand with cash.

Now I've said all that none of the above will happen but it's just my opinion. One way or another you and I will find out what is going to happen by the end of play 14th Sept. at the latest. Also just to point out that I am an AAA shareholder and it is my largest stock holding right now so I do hope that news IS positive and that all parties AAA and BOOM come away from whatever happens significantly wealthier (at least on paper).

I like what I see of BOOM and if and when AAA re-list (I do hope that it is a good market - NASDAQ obviously my preference) I can release some funds and (if) BOOM are still available to buy I'll invest.

...and kind words. Sadly I didn't move into Geology as a study area or career, much is the pity. I grew up in a very beutiful and quiet part of Wales and to be honest I miss it very much. Ian67 your story of breaking open the slate and finding the gold flake was the sort of thing we used to do as kids. The disapoointment when you first realised it was not gold but in fact Pyrite or Fools Gold was... well you did feel like a fool. But as kids growing up in that part of Wales we knew there were old gold mines and gold to be found in some of the mountain streams and rivers.

As for Alba... for me it was the Welsh mines that attracted me... mainly for emotional and nostalgic reasons. I'm not invested right now but I'd be so pleased for the company, it's shareholders and for the benefits it would bring to the locality. It won't be easy and only time will tell. There must be lots of gold in the area, I cannot believe the old miners got it all out! It would be good if the price of gold was not held down artificially and companies like Alba could be rewarded to the benefit of all. Maybe one day eh? Keep your fingers crossed!

The four photos show a piece I found in some of the quartz tailings/waste. I had three samples originally unfortunately I lost one (I think one of my 'friends' pinched it) and the other I gave away to another friend (hopefully not the bugger who pinched my other rock). This was back in the early 80s when you had to make up your own entertainment and parking your tent up next to an old gold mine seemed quite exciting back then. In reality it was cold and damp and we only had a primus stove to heat up soup, baked beans and sausages. we only had our dads tools... chisel and claw hammers. For illumination we had our everready bicycle torches.

Looking back very happy days. wish my kids could experience a little of what we had back then (and no I don't mean the Rickets and malnutrition).

@oilybloke and all connected Alba shareholders on this bb... not that you need telling but I can confirm that the gold is there in the Dolgellau Gold Belt. My gut feeling is that it is there in reasonable quantity - it just remains to be seen if it is financially viable to mine. With more efficient modern mining technology I think it is possible to make a good go of it from a financial point of view.

I'm no longer a shareholder of Alba but when funds allow I hope to return and see some success for Alba in this venture. For anybody wanting to visit the area then I can certainly reccomend this as the area is outstanding in it's beauty. oilybloke mentioned The George III Hotel at Penmaenpool for a pint, well as a youngster me and my mates from school would all meet up and cycle to Barmouth normally stopping off at the George III for a cold drink (sadly not a pint of ale). my ex wife also worked there too but that is another story.

For anybody interested I have a sample of what is up in the hills above Bontddu and you can see it on my Twitter page ( I guess you just search up Daibando on Twitter where I have some photos). For anybody who needs accomodation I can reccomend the Pen y Bont hotel at Tal-Y-Llyn. Friendly hosts and a nice place to stay.

Put in your bottom drawer and pop in every few weeks. I have the option to buy more in order to average down but not totally convinced about investing any more in QBT right now.

All being well I recon this could be 3p/5p in a couple of years OR it could be worth sweet Fanny Adams. Who knows what the future holds?

88 Energy doing well last trading session. Sadly I'm not a holder of this stock anymore but I'm pleased to see a good reaction to today's news on both the UK and US markets.

@ .zstarz I feel similar to you re the bb and feel that a little break from posting is due. Time to 'zoom out' as they say and come back in September and enjoy the run up to the Christmas holiday.

In the meantime all I can urge is to have faith in the company and in your instincts for the positive future that lies ahead. Please don't sell your stock cheap, hold out for the real value in Argo Blockchain. It will happen in the right circumstances so just make sure you're all around to reap some rewards when it does happen!

… is that Bitcoin will fluctuate between 30k - 42k until the end of August after which I think there will be a steady rise north. Inflation along with massive governmental stimulus packages in the US and UK/Europe and QE will exacerbate fear of further inflation and so Gold/Silver etc will rise in value with cryptocurrencies leading the way as an antidote to fiat devaluation/dilution.

But what the hell do I know?!

Inflammatory headlines serve nobody. Whilst people are entitled to express their opinions they should at least be honest to rest of us as to why they are using such words. Lives have not been ruined or destroyed, certainly not by Argo or posters on this board. If people have invested at high points then they just have to be patient. Investing is not a one hundred percent guarantee of riches, everybody must know there is an element of risk but a little bit of proper research will give you an idea as to the risks involved.

Anybody who suggests lives have been ruined needs to understand that the majority of the readers of this BB can see through the bull5h1t.

@Herdie Thank you for the reply. The Exxon talks looks interesting for you and could mean a decent move upwards for Savannah. Keep your fingers crossed! As for my suspended stock (which happened on the 29th April) it is still in suspension but my gut feeling with all that I have heard indicates good news.

As for Argo what can I say. It is such a good company that i cannot wait to see where it will be in 2 or 3 years time. I don't like wishing my life away but.... I think you all know what I mean. We have a potential announcement regarding NASDAQ listing to look forward to. I think it will happen this year but I trust PW to position just at the right time. I don't just think he's a good CEO but he is also 'lucky'. You know how some people always come up smelling of roses even after they've ha a fall in the brown stuff well that's Peter Wall. Just my feelings about him as a great leader of a great company. I am probably biased towards Argo believing all that the company has already achieved and can potentially achieve in the future but i have to have this faith otherwise what is the point? Sometimes we all call it wrong and we are forced to cut our losses to some degree but I have a really good feeling about the future for Argo. I hope so.

Then there's the Texas investment... but that's another story for another time!

@Herdie If you don't mind me asking, which stock did you buy that went into suspension? I only ask because a similar thing happened to me a few weeks ago with All Active Asset Capital. I have been with them since mid January 2021 and have built up a reasonable holding (by my standards) in this company with a fair chunk put in the day before it was suspended. Anyway I do not wish to cross ramp another stock but only to confirm that it has so far been a great investment for me. I hope that your suspended stock returns at a good profit for you Herdie!

As for Argo, well i have great faith in this company. My only regret being that I didn't get in earlier, however, it will in my opinion be a very good long term stock to hold especially with the leveraged exposure to Bitcoin and Blockchain applications.

... positive posts and expectations but right now I'd be satisfied to see £3.50 at the end of the year. Please don't think of this as a negative post against the future prospects of Argo because it is not. I think the company is well managed, innovative and dynamic with a great long term future ahead of it. I cannot even imagine the share being at some of the figures quoted, in the fact that if it did reach £7... £10 or even £12 this would be life changing for me and my family and I'm sure for a great deal of others invested here.

As I say, right now I'd be satisfied with £3.50 at the end of the year.

Hoping for a positive week ahead for all of us here.

… early Christmas present courtesy of the Italian courts. I'm not surprised at the events re the 'death of a defendant' and all the ramifications that that will entail. Having visited Italy many times and seeing the carnage that is Turin airport baggage handlers I am not surprised at all. Wonderful people but chaos is never far away even when you think things are going well. I am hopeful that some progress will be made within 18 months and that I will be able to breathe once more after being underwater for so long.

As to the toxic posters on this bb, they serve no purpose other than to steal copious amounts of O2 and instil fear. If you desperately need your money then sell if not then hold after all what have you got to lose. What is needed now from the shareholders is lots of patience because now we play the waiting game.

a reasonable investment time for a stock like Argo is somewhere between 3 - 5 years. I'd like to think that in 2024 - - 2025 the sp will look much healthier than it does now. Try to relax and trust in your original instinct to invest in Argo, think of all the future plans for the Texas facility, Pluto and other applications for the blockchain technology.

There's a great deal to look forward to but please give it time. I'd certainly consider giving this bb a miss for a few months. Recently it has become a little strained and to be frank a few of the posters are not simply negative but they are positively toxic. In my opinion they either have an ulterior motive (I hope) OR they are mentally ill (I hope not). Either way it has not been good so I intend to give this bb a wide berth for a little while.

Some people on this bb believe crypto mining is damaging the environment. Hmm… Some people seem to think this stock will drop to 30p. Hmm… they just don't know when to stop do they?

Has anybody had a mooch around Canary Wharf lately or minced along Wall Street perchance? How about Bankenviertel, Franfurt? Pretty isn't it, all that power and carbon being released. Has anybody checked out all the banking infrastructure, ATMs, the direct process of fiat manufacture and dispersal? Do you think they’re completely carbon neutral? Please let the hypocritical bull5h!t stop. Get some perspective and common sense to the reality that we all know is around us. There are a great many industries that could be constituted as 'damaging for no output' but I don't hear anybody spouting about how bad those industries are. For example, how much power do all these barstewards who keep calling me several times a day trying to flog me 5h!te all the time... how much environmental damage are they causing? Let's get rid of them while we're at it... Talking of 'hot air' let's dismantle that waste of space we call Parliament (which appears to have disappeared up its own Rolf for the last 18 months. Let's cancel Christmas while we're at it... all those lights, all that power being consumed. Greta (praise be upon her) wouldn't be pleased at all. No, the list use useless industries and activities are almost endless. So why don't we do it?

Probably because we’re a tolerant and reasonable society (at the moment). You run a business and you pay your exorbitant electric bill like every other business is required to do. Why should Argo pay an enhanced fee for electricity when the knocking sho…. Massage parlour over the road pays a lower rate for their power?

Then there is the person who suggests the sp will drop to 30p who are quite obviously living in some sort of parallel Clown World. I look forward to 30p as I will take the opportunity to simply buy more of this stock. No doubt the inhabitants of said Clown World will then be suggesting a price of 3p or possibly 0.3p after all why not?

Meanwhile Argo still keeps making money every second of every minute in every day 24/7

A lot of us are in the same boat so I do understand. It is and has been a very frustrating time for a lot of Argo investors but i really do believe that given some time it will come good. Some people panic when a stock drops and all they dream of is getting to or near to their break-even point - I've been here and made this mistake. As for Buffet's 'ten year' quote, well, he is old school and I'm a little like him in that respect. Obviously if you are a trader then a stock like Argo is a bit of a dream at the moment... but quite frankly you may as well get the Racing Post study the form and take a punt on the 3.10 at Newmarket. But each to their own.

Anyway Good Luck to you and keep smiling because it will 'probably' all come good sooner than you or I think!
