I messed up on EOG too, holding for that CPR and after the Ex BOD buying 16m shares.. CPR delayed, and there has been a slow but constant drift down, and so far seems to be a failure to establish a new higher bottom, so back to a penny is possible.. Thats 3 times I could have sold and bought back lower, rather than the holding for the big news, Ireland which is getting little mention, ??

Not sure about my LBE, lost almost half my profit since early spud announcement, and its a long drill too..

I was expecting people to be getting in before the spud next month, but thats all changed i guess, so far the day after spud announced was the big sell day,

I thought the below marketable parcel' shares was not applicable to UK share holders, so did'nt give it much thought

Well. I thought it would rise, as there are about 50 days before a bad result is likely to be announced, after that point speculation should swing towards success, a discovery to tie back and another payment from the Japex..

But there have been some large sells today...Was an early big buy, but it got conveniently cancelled as the price dropped!

Its just my luck, I had both UPL and LBE on my radar all year, at the moment UPL has more than doubled with a MC at £25m but all talk for now, while LBE are at just £15m after securing a great JV and drilling as promised, early too...

I guess that sudden rise to almost mid 30s, was possibly people in the know tracking the rig, and there was me thinking excitement building for spud ....

@PortfolioPower, I think that funding could be some clever accounting trickery, if Orrs monthly payment is based the share price, and not 1/24th of the amount supposedly raised, then its seems Orr have just handed over 26% of the companies shares in advance for Lanstead to either buy or sell in order to make each payment..That £1.7m makes it a cash transaction rather than handing over the shares, at the end of the day that £1.7m is back in Lansteads account along with the shares...

If we can work out how lanstead will make their money we can work out when to buy....

The share price has already been taken down from 0.19p, the price the deal was struck, so I guess lanstead are going to keep a fair amount of the 1st payment, but their shares are worth so much less too... And I cant see how they could have off-loaded 1bn shares to buy back cheaper in such a short time...

looking at it super simple if Orr shares suddenly became worthless Lanstead would have 1b shares of zero value, and have their money back, so gained nothing, so just seems a balancing act... So I cant see how lanstead can benefit unless Orr do well.. unless they trade those shares over the next two years, creating lots of volatility if Orr are not doing well...

Orr, effectively funded for the next 24 months ?

Anyone worked out how Lanstead benefit from this deal, with the share price almost half the price used to do the deal...

Mind you they do have the shares and the cash back but the question is can the price go any lower ?

I see somebody paid almost 0.13 for a largish buy, while others bought 0.10 earlier on in smaller amounts

When the Gov gave approval for JV at 21p, I seen it go to 34p. and thought could go a little higher building up to the drill which was supposed to be next month..But it happened early, I just cant believe it...early, no pumping, no details of timing either...

Your probably right about the time setting up, they have bought a lot of equipment. Fingers crossed they had all the parts listed and checked off as it was loaded up in Kenya, and not doing that bit now... might not be all there as expected, might have extras for parts only that are not working and are'nt labelled so.. Then you have an unfamiliar engineering team to put it all together.. Could be why Noble went with Marriot, leaving it all to the experts....

First mention of Mike being in country too, I just hope they have'nt been managing this from the UK...

That Friday RNS saying they were still perusing SOFORI , then the rig in country Monday morning, .... Mike said the combined trucking miles were over 26000 KM for 17 trucks, required escorts, so not the speediest of tasks... thats a +1500km journey..

So to have no rig Friday, and for it to arrive Monday, very questionable...

LBE, there was no near fund raise for the drill, it was done a way back thats why the JV partner will make a payment if a discovery... I just hope it does'nt drift slowly down especially after recently hitting 34p,,, or I will have messed up yet again :(
