I worked on an engineering project where we required a tester, the company I worked for wanted to hire it, the leasing company did'nt have one or want to.. In the end the tester appeared, it was rented for about 18 months, only to end up in our store room.. The rent probably many times the cost of the unit...

@blissful, fair comment..and i think 30mph is a more appropriate speed on that road,

but there will a few drivers getting 6 points, on the 1st day, and probably another 6 on the 2nd after the change, banned from driving, for driving at a speed which was acceptable on that road for decades. the approach should have been to install one of those 30 mph smiley face signs before the speed camera.. just one driver slowing to 30 slows everybody else at the moment the speed limit is exceeded reducing the risks, there and then.. simply fining allows the drivers to continue at the higher speed without mitigating the risks to the benefit of the authority collecting the fines.. not so bad, maybe for the first weeks only being able to issue 1 fine until the 1st has been paid...

we had a *** parade recently, the council put flags high across the roads to celebrate it everywhere , sure they could have done the same to push the 30 limit message....

Partly depends on the style of the RNS, EDR, UJO, and EOG had the same news to tell, EDR up 2%, EOG down 10%...

My mate has been driving the same route around Cardiff for years, sometimes numerous times a day, did'nt notice the speed was dropped from 40-30.. :(

So from being a safe driver keeping below 40mph, anyone above 30 on that road is now a reckless speeder...

No smiley face signs, probably the most effective way to control speed, just speeding tickets weeks after the event...

@KevR, there seems to be a post to a link to a recent interview, I have not watched it yet, but BB suggests a company that provides death spiral loans, but to be converted at 0.19p which seems to suggest not so...So need to watch the interview, mind you there is probably a clause if the price is below 0.19p..

@Wasendo, I know a floor screeder, the guy is a machine, the amount of cement he and his guys can wheel barrow in a day is almost unbelievable, probably years of conditioning..Impressive beer belly too ;)
