I buried very scraps, moths later they were still there..
There is a Japanese method where they ferment the veg scraps, expensive commercial systems for sale, but it so easy to do similar...
Takes some clean scraps, stick in a jar, adds some boiled water(remove chlorine), cover scraps in water, cover and let the stuff ferment.. No you have your starter..
Get a big bucket with lid, fill with scraps, add your starter and cover with water, lid on.. Should ferment without any smells,,,when ready dig a hole, bury and let the worms do their bit.. In a few weeks there will be no sign of the vegetables.. Never got around to planting anything in the spot...
