Mmmm, sounds like Gov are putting people off. Only last week I was on a their site, filled out the questionnaire to assess having a ASHP, suggested I needed to insulate my walls before getting one, and will need to install domestic hot water heating separately. While the installation and cost of just the ASHP was £7.5k to £10k, the high heat version up to £15k.. So with the extra costs they added you are looking at probably topping £1k per year, over 15 years, before switching on... Back in 2005 my combi cost £650, plus installation, maybe £1200 all together..probably £3k today... So mine has cost under £70/y over its life time... Thats a massive difference..

The fact its full of rampers should have told me to take the money, but it was a long strong rise yesterday, but today it traded around 27p for best part of 4 hours, then headed to 25p where it ended the day.. Just hope it does not drift down over days as that where you slowly lose it all

Not sure how they use scope 3 GHG to decide on planning consent, they will be the highest levels... Will they say no, yes, or you can only produce up to a level ?

End of the day its the end user burning that fuel that creates the bulk of Co2, and that is all down to demand.. and demand is already met with imports.. So refusing planning will have no impact on Co2 levels..

I suspect, they are talking their own vigour...

These new air source heat pumps, costs a fortune compared to a combi boiler, and then you have to install a domestic hot water system as they only provide heating.. You also need to consider insulating your walls, internally thats adding insulated plasterboards.. It's probably more cost effective to stump up £1k annually just for your heating, especially if these units need changing every 10 years..

KOD, if you look at the chart you would think that bad news update arrived on the 1st. not the 5th...... somebody knew there was an issue with the update on the 1st saying Kmuk would pay the $15m.. unless the drop was because in was a MOU..
