S7 - Paul M in the recent Proactive investors interview “we are looking to replicate the kind of deal we did with Caterpiller several years ago and seek out specific market segments where we think we can license our technology and continue to develop a relationship around a growing market segment with ongoing royalties”
They haven’t specified the latest on the number of RFQs we are involved with, and what potential value they ascribe to them. Probably already been asked but certainly worth knowing where we stand.
Colin telling it how it is:
‘Tesla was nowhere to be seen, which will be a sign of things to come if they refuse to install driver monitoring systems to comply with the European legislation starting in 2022. Drop by Cadillac Elon, they are doing pretty well with Super Cruise and the NTSB.’

I've been thinking about the potential value with a view to SEE mirroring the Mobileye path. We are now probably around where Mobileye were in 2010 (They had 7 OEMs, I would expect us to announce our 7th fairly soon). Four years later they floated on the NASDAQ for $5.3 Billion. Three years after that Intel came along with $15 Billion. However, as Cenkos say Mobileye did this without their cameras being mandated as a primary safety product.
Therefore with the European legislation and Euro NCAP rules effectively mandating DMS (hopefully both to be finalised within the next couple of months) it is not a stretch to think that SEE could take much less than 4 years to get to where Mobileye were at the time of their IPO. So, could SEE be worth several billion within the next couple of years? Well for those who don't remember our former chairman Terry Winters said:
"This is a billion dollar company in 3-5 years, quite easily, and possibly multiples of that"
This appeared on the Seeing Machines website in November 2016, before any legislation appeared and he was confident that SEE would be a multi billion dollar company by 2020/2021. I think the management know what is coming, they know the real value and it just needs to play out. Exciting times ahead.
No problem Wilson! Seeing2020 is right it is confusing - customer 8 was previously shown as ‘business awarded’ (Byton?) but has now been removed. Meanwhile customer 10 has appeared for 2019. Of the wins we have been told about in 2019 the GM expansion is Joyson, oem 6 (FCA?) believed to be Aptiv and the recent oem expansion wasn’t with Veoneer for the original order so it does suggest a new oem win. Time will tell.

Customer 10 gone from technical qualification at end Dec to awarded business now. Still showing 2 wins overall though so a bit confusing. Away from my notes at the moment so not sure if this is a new award or not?
Not sure if this has already been posted:

Another Tesla fatality - if it turns out Autopilot was being used then surely it’s about time they consider a camera based dms? https://www.reuters.com/article/us-tesla-crash-idUSKCN1QJ031?utm_campaign=trueAnthem:+Trending+Content&utm_content=5c7a34c21adf640001b94ffd&utm_medium=trueAnthem&utm_source=twitter
CANBERRA, Australia, Feb. 22, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Seeing Machines Limited, the advanced computer vision technology company that designs AI-powered operator monitoring systems to improve transport safety, welcomes the outcome of the European Parliament's Internal Market Committee where a set of rules were approved to advance safety for all road users in the European Union. The press release issued by the European Parliament on Thursday in Europe announced that "driver drowsiness and attention warning" and "advanced driver distraction warning" will become mandatory in all vehicles (cars, vans, trucks and buses). Ken Kroeger, CEO of Seeing Machines commented: "The leadership shown by Europe in this move to improve safety, using technology, across all forms of road-going transport, is most welcome as governments all over the world grapple with serious injuries and fatalities caused by road accidents. "Seeing Machines is focused on safety outcomes and we have spent the past twenty years honing our technology for this very purpose. Our driver monitoring technology, already launched in the award-winning General Motors Cadillac CT6 with Super Cruise, and in current development with a further five automotive manufacturers globally, as well as retro-fitted to over 16,000 commercial and mining vehicles around the world, is designed to understand the state of the driver, to ensure that fatigue and distraction related events and the risks associated with that behaviour, are mitigated." This announcement further reinforces the Euro NCAP roadmap that sees driver monitoring introduced into crash assessment protocols from 2020. It is expected that the Euro NCAP position will be adopted in other regions including South-East Asia and North America.

Curiouser, Semicast posted last year on Twitter that it could be a pick up truck first for FCA
‘If web chatter is correct and OEM4 for @seeingmachines is Ford F-150 p/u truck, it means other p/u OEMs (esp. FCA for Chevy/Dodge/RAM) had to react. Also then includes VW, GMC, Toyota. Trucks might speed DMS entry into USA even more than legislation in next 3-5 years.’
As far as I can see these are just proposed amendments, similar to the ones that we discussed in December when there were similar proposed amendments by the committee on transport and rourism:

However, the vote for that went through ok and they voted in support of all packages:
