The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
We need to be at the high end of analyst expectations of £3Billion profit or better still exceed expectations. Strong forward bookings, capacity back at or exceeding pre Covid levels and announcement of recommencing of dividend payments or share buy back announcement. If we hit some or all of the above, SP will fly tomorrow!!
Hopefully good news with continued debt reduction, back to pre Covid pax bookings and excellent forward bookings and we should be back in the 170s, fingers crossed!! GLA !!
Happyzone - When we do finally move here, we generally move quick from my experience. Painfully slow at the moment, people are travelling, it will be interesting to see where we are now in terms of numbers of pax compared with before Covid. GL All not long to wait!
As much as I would love IAG to hit £2+, there are a lot of external factors dragging down the SP, Ukraine, Israel, Cost of living crisis with high inflation and debt pile IAG have. End any of these wars and once Inflation comes down considerably, debt gets reduced to low levels the SP will rocket here in my opinion and it won't be £2 more likely £3+. A number of factors dragging down sentiment, but once they get sorted and they will in time, we all know IAG is a money making machine. I'm in here for the longhaul, GL All!!
Need positive news on debt reduction and clear route to restoration of dividends to drive the SP here. Let's hope results are good and we're on the money for an announcement of return of dividends!! GL All!!
I'm in agreement, we need sustained profits, share consolidation and notice when dividends will restart and that will likely reignite the SP here. People are not giving up on flying during the cost of living crisis. Roll on end of Feb!! GL All!!
A lot depends on the middle east developments, if we can get to a cease fire in Israel, I'm hoping this will be a strong catalyst for a big injection to the Shareprice not just here but in other airlines and travel stocks too. All about the sentiment, there is no doubt that EZJ is doing well, especially it's holiday business. I'm hoping for a sustained rise towards 650 and then continue a nice upwards trend. Happy though I'm finally in the black!! GL All!
Explains the good momentum in the SP recently!! Let's keep going!
Bought a further tranche in here at 147, I feel this is too cheap and once decent set of results come end of the month, hopefully this will take off! (Pun intended). We need the announcement to restart of dividends before the big boys pile back in here!! GL ALL!!
I would settle for us to get to £2 first of all would be an amazing barrier to break!! I read a good piece on value stocks, so with inflation coming down more money should poor into IAG, let's hope so and then we will really take off!! GL All not long until Feb results!!
@Tombeef I concur with you! Buy on the dips and hold, once things settle down a bit in the world the mighty IAG machine will be pulling in large profits and taken under the guise of Covid to bring in many changes that it wanted to do for years.
