I would like to think that is what everyone on here does (certainly I do), but it maybe that some change their view depending on their investmemt position! :-)

Seems to be some nerves here over what IMO is an insignificant volume producing a drop today. I suspect that they have been drilling very carefully(slowly) and are only now in the target zone. I don't recall Ben mentioning an actual date by which operations would finish - I thought he jsut said they would pack up "pre Christmas". Entirely possible that they will drill into next week. Remember, the drillers are paid partly in shares so will be very motivated!
KAV would have had to release an RNS if there were material problems with the drill such as a hole collapse/loss of drill string so just wait patiently for news! :-)

On the assumption that you missed "un" off the "known", it would see that you are correct! 41k buy at 246p followed swiftly by 11k at 246.76p just gone through!

I would not be enthusiastic about a share buyback as I fear it would be an opportunity for AXA or other ESG obsessed holders to exit whist being supported by the company to do so. Increase the divi to a meaningful amount and maintain it at that level going forward. Either that, or go in with Siccar Point on getting Cambo up and running and stuff the nonsensical attitude of politicians. Better to have home prouduced fossil fuels than imported ones IMO.

Agreed. It is all very well having massive potential, at some point they need to prove they actually have something commercial. However, they are fully funded and have plenty of irons in the fire so are not a "one trick pony". This what makes this such a potentil life changing investment as (IMO) there is no upside priced in here at 5p. Which is not to say it won't drop if this drill isn't positive!
However, by this time next year, with even moderately positive results, I would anticipate an sp above 30p (pessimistic) or around £1 (optimistic)! That is why I have been here for 3 years.
Ben said they would (hoped to) get the drill finished for the Christmas break. That means by next weekend I suspect, so probably approaching the target zone this weekend, all being well.

"The owner of British Gas is offloading oil and gas assets in the North Sea as it looks to shift its business towards renewable energy sources.
Centrica will sell its 69pc stake in Spirit Energy’s Norwegian operations in a deal worth around £560m. It will employ a run-off strategy for the remainder of Spirit’s business, which consists of gas reserves.
The company said it will transfer all £830m of decommissioning liabilities to the buyers – Norwegian energy firm Sval and refiner Equinor.
Centrica said the deal was a “milestone” in its efforts to turn around the business and pursue a net zero strategy."

Signs of life here? Everything else I follow seems to be down today, so to see one of main holdings up 5% is exciting! Pushing up into close - hoping for an RNS in the morning! :-)
