Can we assume that they had to announce the need for a raise as it was more market sensitive this time as the position was much more perilous than last time, so could indeed be misleading the market not to say something?

The sp actually went up 7% during LB talking about the geology so that seems sound. The lack of info in the second half of the meet, and the answers to questions on funding, are what's caused the huge drop subsequently. Frankly, if they can announce enough money to drill Itumbula I will see that as a better outcome than I had feared, reading some posts on here.

I don't think that is true in that she said they would move to Itumbula and spud in early January.

They do need additional funding though, to spud.

If anything I think LB has taken a vow of honesty with regard to what ifs she does give us.

I wish I'd asked this question: 'If a FAP rich tumour metastases to a low FAP area of the body (bones were mentioned) if there is such a thing, does it remain high FAP in nature (like the Primary) or turn to a low FAP tumour in the new part of the body?'

Catching cancer early with AVA6k is probably still vital before it spreads. You want want it earlier rather than later anyway.

Yesterday I watched LB's interview again and you'd never guess that we were set for such a collapse in the sp when she says they'll drill in January and no caveat regarding *if* or *so long as* we get the additional funds.

People selling now might stop if they knew the cash position. Are they just lacking awareness or is the position so bad they are unwilling to say?

So was DM. Lots of people start as engineers, scientists, CMOs, etc. before being CEO. Sometimes it works, sometimes not.

I'm trying to put myself in LB's position. Would she walk if she feels doesn't have what it takes? Maybe she's been persuaded to hang on. The fact that she's stayed; does that imply that she's working on something positive? We have a lot invested but she does too, in terms of her professional career and options of course. She won't want to go down as having been in charge of a company that failed on her watch. I had that with eve sleep. They got down to their last £500k or less before things really fell apart so we aren't there yet. The eve sleep former CEO hasn't been hired elsewhere but she has started her own enterprise (holiday club for children, last time I checked). It's a contrast from running a PLC.

Will she want to raise enough to finish the 2 drills, or rather more and so help HE1 have a future beyond January or Feb. From her pov I think the latter, which will take a bit more time than the former.

TBH, a dry squid wouldn't be very much better than a damp one.

Troaj, I did look it up the other day (not going to check again now) and the problem is if the sp falls as then the 'borrower' needs to convert more of the shares to receive repayment, and then the sp falls further and further and more and more shares / more dilution = 'death spiral'. But if the company is successful (strikes helium for eg) and the sp raises then that works well and fewer shares need to be given to repay the loan amount. Looks like the latter scenario at Dg Innovate (DGI) today.

LB doesn't strike me as a Robert Maxwell type at all. So perhaps they are not as poverty stricken as we might fear.

I just don't know. Maybe they still have more money than we think. Unsolicited offer could have sounded quite tempting for the next phase and, naively, LB thought it wouldn't impact the sp as much as it has because the RNS brought other good news.

Just so long as they have money to drill in January and get back to Tai we don't seem to be in a very different position to before the RNS. Buying the new roughneck implied they weren't being super-careful with their bank balance. Or the original one was in worse shape than the due diligence implied.
