‘ the Company is in positive and advancing discussions with a number of investors’.
Since LB seems to have decided to tell the truth at all times I can only hope that she is indeed in positive and advancing discussions with a number of investors..
(I assume she hasn’t seen one of those movies where people get into trouble with complete honesty.)
Good morning Wyn,
I thought that you had probably gone from He1 yesterday, and put the money in for next week's news. I've considered doing the same thing myself but hanging in for the moment. He1 is such a roller-coaster and I expect (hope for) a chance of a rise after this dip, the way things seem to go.
We still don't know how bad the money situation is. Do they have enough for Itumbula but nothing else? Not even enough for Itumbula? Or enough for Tai again too but want more more the next move in 2024, and the one after that?
I didn't want to have this much exposure by now. I had hoped to get half out on spud and free ride for the rest, like many people, I suspect. But I don't have anything like what I had in eve sleep. Nevertheless, more than I can lose and just forget it..
A few months ago I mentioned to Mrs Geeman that bad results or a problem, then followed by a discovery, would mean the most money for shareholders who held on. I don't think LB would fix anything (she seems to have an 'abundance of honesty', saying they need a raise at the point she did, and that's being charitable!) though others disagree.
I hope you will still visit us on this bb from time to time.

'never fully committed to stating that the hydraulic issue was resolved'
Jo, yes, that struck me. But what if she said it was definitely all sorted and then there was a glitch.
If they get enough money for January and Feb they'd better get commercial helium or it'll be pretty much over but that was the case last week wasn't it?
Hi Wyn, your instincts on these things are always extremely good. 'Unsolicited parties' does sound new and rather vague indeed; could she really make that up, from thin air? She doesn't seem the sort though others disagree I know.
With eve sleep it was not in the interests of folk like Dreams or Bensons to help out when they could pick up the pieces out of administration but with He1 what do rivals get if He1 go under? A rig that would need need to be rescued from (almost) the middle of nowhere.. They'd be able to bid for licences but then everything else would be starting from scratch.
So surely it will be better to keep this He1 show on the road than let them go bust? Just get a share in the dilution / raise and hope for commercial helium like the rest of us?
I always feel finishing with a question mark shows a lack of confidence, don't you??
I'm sure others will have found these sites by now but just in case..

'JANUARY
Approximate temperatures: Daytime - around 26 - 30 Celsius / Nighttime - 20 Celsius.
January is a peak summer month in Tanzania. January is also very dry too. The good news is that the rainy season won't start with full force until March. The weather in Tanzania during this month is ideal for safari because it's also one of the brightest months, with the sun shining for a good 10 hours per day. The climate is also nice and warm.
Is Tanzania a good time to Safari in January?
Yes. The weather in Tanzania is ideal for observing wildlife as grasses are short which allows you to spot wildlife more easily. Observing lions in particular makes for great viewing on an African lion safari too and since January is an off-peak month, it makes booking an African safari much more affordable too. '
So they still have key people on site (not just security guards presumably) and the roughneck is expected on site in January; why transport it for January if they don't intend to use it on arrival.
Key question for me is how much money are they short of?
If it wasn't the intention to spud Itumbula in Jan, LB could've easily said she was going to wait for the narrow 3"(?) drill to arrive, stay put and do the repairs and finish off at Tai. It would have been a perfectly reasonable scenario.
Many thanks for that wyn. Took me a while to read as computer froze (maybe telling me to keep out of the stock market!). I first bought here around 140p after someone mentioned it on AVCT bb. Small amount compared to the others but it's been growing.
Anyway, have a good morning and no doubt talk elsewhere before long :-)
Trouble with selling HE1 now is I know I'll never get back in and then what if they get commercial helium; would kick myself forever.
Wyn, NOT a recommendation at all (they fell sharply recently on raise news) but cast your eye over RUA chart. Do you have any thoughts?
I know Hurst is an unusual role model to compete with but at least I'm trying ..

I'm not sure if it proves Karma, or the non-existence of Karma, but Henry Kissinger is still going strong, aged 100 '
Maybe too charitable a view but here goes..
Anyone who's ever bought a 2nd hand car (or sold a car, undoubtedly with with a few niggles) or bought a property (old, or new these days, with their cheap cut-corners) will know that problems appear after a change of keeper and are fixed and then there's a period of quiet reliability – unless it really is junk which shouldn't be the case as it was checked out.
The rig was parked for several years? Bound to be some issues but once they are sorted it could still prove to be a reliable bit of kit.
Just in from HL,
'RUA Life Sciences plc Retail Offer
Important information about your shares
What is happening?
RUA Life Sciences plc have announced their intention to raise up to £4.85m via a Placing for institutional investors and a Retail Offer for individual investors.
RUA Life Sciences plc have decided not to issue a prospectus as part of the fundraising. This means that the Offer has been limited to the sterling equivalent of €8 million and may only be open for a very short period. It also means that information relating to the fundraising is limited to the Company announcement.
Applications are due to close at 3:30pm on Thursday 07 December. Due to the nature of the fundraising, applications can close at any time and without prior warning.
Shares are being offered at a fixed price of 11 pence.
The minimum application for the Retail Offer is £100.
By applying for shares in the Offer you are deemed to have read, understood and agreed to the HL Retail Offer Terms and Conditions, HL Retail Offer Risk Warning and the Company Announcement. These documents can be found in the Secure Messaging Centre of your online account.
Hargreaves Lansdown will receive 0.6% commission on the total allocation from the issuer as part of the Offer.'
'sellers force the price up buyers down, it's very simple.'
Anyone who's ever made a 'Make An Offer' offer to buy something on eBay and been rejected because the seller thinks they can get more, or had a higher counter-offer come back from the seller, will appreciate that sellers do try to drive the price up.
Which is slightly different from the usual bidding eBay auction (if there's no reserve) because there the bids are forced up by potential buyers who compete with one another and the seller has no choice in the matter (unless they pull the sale).
So for me there are nuances in how the price is arrived at but eBay is a good example of how two slightly different markets work.
Tim, I'm getting a bit lost with who wrote what, but this took me 20 seconds to find. At least we know you AREN't in the same room :-)

Thanks for that Agent; quite a shock. Poor guy. Let's hope he's been correctly informed that it's perfectly curable.
'Mark Steel in Malta' is a very good one. (From memory "Do Maltese drive on the left or on the right side of the road? – It's variable; they just drive on the shady side.")
