bandit1,

If they can't make a profit in Australia they are unlikely to do so in the USA.
After 2 months in Oz they had turnover of 400K, reportedly a better start than they had in the UK, and after 6 months I reckon they'd listed about 700 properties. After 8 months the revenue was 3.9m. Estimates for 12 months to the end of April is 12m.
Although the population in Oz is about a third of what it is in the UK, fees are a lot higher. When Oz was first talked about they reckoned it would contribute about the same as the UK once it had caught up. California is about two thirds the size of the UK and fees are about double.
>>Making an impact in the US will be transformative.
Are you saying they have made an impact, will make an impact or saying that if they have an impact it will be transformative? That's a big if. On 15/3/18 it will be 6 months in the USA.
In California the turnover after the first six and a half weeks was 100K.
It would be great if they succeed in the USA but I think it will be a tough nut to crack. Tougher than the UK and Oz. The trading statement in May should be interesting and I'd like to see how much of the 50m that they raised has been spent.
Do you have any idea how they've been doing? Have you been keeping a close eye on things over there?
If they manage 500 listings, that would be revenue of about 1.1m. Any idea how many listings they've had in the US?
