Interesting to read yesterdays The Times article where the chairman criticised the private equity role in valuation and floatation here, which apparently lead to Saga having been shunned by instis. City has certainly got the valuation down now, so potential energy for a rebound surely must be building, I agree PC. Assuming mngt have finally come clean ofcourse!
"It has been a huge privilege to lead Saga. I am very proud of the journey we have taken to modernise the business and refocus it on customers" Lance Batchelor
And very, very proud of the earnings he has taken, no doubt. We all thank you LB.
Well tis true I'd prefer Necker Island but you have to do these ultra touristy things.. I took offence at the plague of litter in Giza blowing around the pyramids though. Inhaling the stuff, but I think that was due to pretty poor civil amenities as much as tourists. Quite busy up on Everest too! ;)
We can but hope. Reading recently about Mike Coupe having apparently increased his remuneration this year, whilst SBRY staff morale plummets and the company/ investors take a £46m hit..Possibly oversimplifying, but these guys rarely seem to lose out despite notions of performance related pay.
