As pointed out, Mms make money whether price is up, down or sideways. Sideways, buyers and sellers agreed, is easiest for them.

So, anybody here see a reason to short Ggp? Anybody doing it? Nope? So why would anyone else at this stage. Or seek to influence spread, a particularly daft notion.

You don’t go short without thinking something will drive the price down, Bb alone won’t do it.

Calling people trolls if they are posting reasonable, less romanticised views? What do you call the other lot who also post theirs?

It’s like the shorting theory. Question for exponents would be what them doing that see in Greatland that nobody here has.

That’s a general comment. I don’t regard myself as being time limited any more than others might, according to widely differing circumstances. It’s not morbid!

One needs to get away from the sort of concept that the company, run by the board, and pi’s are the same thing. They aren’t. What may be best for the company at a point in time may not be welcomed at that time by pi’s but the company moves on, with perhaps new investors/punters coming aboard.
Now, people will look at it differently, but waiting for the company to grow to optimal size is unlikely for me due to personal circumstances. I hope to get to producing, revenue, but not necessarily free cash flow. One has to consider an exit point, and the best outcome for me is likely buyout, for this or any other share.
Managing pi’s expectations, which I hope in some measure will be fulfilled, will not be high on the agenda for this or any other company.

I agree - the answer is to look around and drum up a new scapegoat outside the company that you can all get behind - JPM seems to have attracted a following historically.

I don’t think anybody having a go at Mr. Day, particularly. You can’t with justification.. But it used to be Biswas, and he’s no longer available.
Low share price is always a factor for pi’s, though not so much for the company as long as it is achieving it’s objectives and can raise cash as it needs - both of which appear to be the case.

I wonder who’s doing that then? Not many here, from the look of things this morning, this time around.

I think the questions which may really being posed are
1. If there is an accretive raise, will I be allowed to take part in it, if I can afford it.
2. If I am not taking part, can I afford more shares to keep up.( eps/dividend )
3. Will this accretion reflect in sufficiently enhanced share price in my time scale.
4. Will it get bought out before, and am I OK with that.
Perfectly reasonable considerations, at least where I come from, not amounting to paranoia

Quite honestly, I been really surprised by some on here who seemed to want to buy pretty much whatever they could lay hands on, and blow the consequences.

A18. I think we should watch our terminology, as CEO’s should do. When it comes down to it he was talking of whether or not the asx listing, which I understood to be a cross listing, would be timed to coincide with a placing, or would start as purely compliance, no new equity offered.
Ggp is considering how cash may be raised in the future for potential corporate changes. If opportunity and need arises, asx will assist.

I’ve never got why NCM should want to suppress the share price. I mean, how much longer can that theory go on when it seems to be leading absolutely nowhere. Nobody got nothing to show for it.

They’re going to have to work together to get the deal over the line. With highly paid experienced professionals on each side I don’t think there’s much likelihood of one side snowing the other in a material way. I don’t know, but I imagine it’s pretty forensic. Not a couple of blokes with clipboards. Just has to be a fair deal, and Havieron, the JV, is part of it

I suppose with a company that size there’s always info, business plans working up, but I honestly wouldn’t know. Frankly, I can never get to grips how anybody can pitch a serious bid level before due diligence, but we know they do.
Anyway, we shall remain in the dark unless somebody announces they’re going in for a proper look at it, or that comes out somehow else.
In the meantime,normal service.

And we don’t mind others making a higher bid to get a look.

In other words, NCM saying we think you’ll like it better if we let you look inside. And we might let others do the same if they ask nicely.
