The recent appointments just might be indicative of something or other on the move though. Board with more expertise than hanging on to Newcrest’s or whoever’s shirt tails.

You mean £400m plus market cap Ggp buys up £1.9bn of assets. Can't see that either, what I been saying. No comment on your very debatable asset figure though.

Having posted about the possibility of a Ggp buyout alongside the others, though I might not be alone in putting it there, it appears pi's in general who are quick to pick up on such things as likely, haven't seen it as a prospect or they would be buying in numbers and having a bit of a pump on here. Nothing like a good old buyout at a premium to get them on board, albeit possibly temporarily.

You know, to get bigger there are acquirers and acquirees. It’s big business, the way it works, no matter who ‘owns’ it at a point in time. Mr. Day and the board ‘steward’ the entity Greatland Gold, to it’s benefit.

And like I always said, it’s an option and I shall be happy to take the premium. Win/win, in that sense.

On the contrary, there is such a situation, certainly with the larger options and at Ggp market cap., when you consider the amount of investment required to buy 70% Havieron, and perhaps add something else. Ggp could find itself bought out, with Wyloo as ‘predator’ of sorts.
Just another option, keeping the project on going but not necessarily under Ggp as a listed company.
One I put forward, in the mix.

That falls somewhere into PG’s Ggp ‘somehow takes advantage’ in relation to a satisfactory ongoing project.

Because, if anything happens or not, Wyloo will be part of any plan hatching.

Or Wyloo buy the 70% to stick is with Ggp’s 30%, leaving it to the Ggp team to develop, or take the whole lot and leave it to the Ggp team to develop.
But as you say, all positive outcomes, whatever happens for Havieron development.

Greatland Gold is a £400m or so market cap company. If there’s still those looking for 100% of this and that, I think they should be careful what they wish for.
Hopefully, it’ll be something less, if anything, and beneficial, if we all want to be sure of going mining.

I wouldn’t get over convinced by the ‘we’ bit Dip, as per Shaun and pi’s.
The corporate is the identity, and the team manage it on all shareholders behalf.

I’m sure they all do. That’s what they’re paid for. And Wyloo will be watching it like a hawk. You only got to work out in comparative terms how much cash they got in, and will have if warrants cashed up, to realise that.

That’s on here of course. Possibly Ggp, in consultation with Wyloo ( and maybe others under 3% )who they will be obliged to bring on board in the event of major change, particularly if it leads to a vote, have some inside information.

Got to watch the old mindsets.
On recent, it seems Ggp assembling a team with capabilities exceeding those required for current arrangements.
