You could have guessed at the prospect of dots when Wyloo came on board. Some did. There’s still only the one, I think. . Fortescue Metals is an entirely different proposition, in corporate identity and as I see it, interests. It’s just that there is a connection through Mr. Forrest, who has something of a mining bent, and goes out, leads, on his own.
His interests in Greatland are through Wyloo Consolidated Investments Pty Ltd., here https://www.wyloometals.com/investments/
1. Structure: We have the ability to invest across the capital structure, including equity, royalties, convertible debt, and bridge loans.
2. Ownership: We are an active investor and recognises the importance of empowering management teams. We favour substantial ownership positions.
So the immediate thoughts may be, would they fund it, and put an operating team in place to get on with it, under their own corporate structure.
