I see comment on another site that Mxc is made up of investments in two companies. There are two listed companies. Although since Mxc went private information is scarce, they were, and I imagine still are, invested in private companies also.

Yes. It always does. We have no way of knowing what participants will have in mind when push comes to shove when corporate strategy comes into play. If it does for Ggp.

One company I know been supported at a 29% level for ages. No bid. Another I’m in 75%, following dispensation from offer. No bid.

All these supportive shareholders see benefit through their support of assets and projects. Some large ones like it so much they bid for all. Others don’t go that far. It’s just what can happen, as illustrated.

Pedalling conspiracy theories over months avails nothing, in the absence of making up somebody to blame.

But it s a different play from their interest in Ggp.

I’ve just read some stuff briefly. They’ve gone direct to shareholders, who can sell to them or not, in an effort to acquire control. As I read reports, can be put right, the board has responded by telling share-holders to hold, in anticipation of a higher offer. They may make a different recommendation in due course.
Seems a nickel play.

No. I'm not saying that. Just that if a deal was done this month it just might be Aug/Sept before it's signed off, and title passes.
Just my opinion, guesstimate.
I'm not going down the road of NCM/Nem wishing to delay mining. My understanding of what is believed around the JV goes to if one partner decides not to mine. Not jumping the gun on that, either.

I think the Newmont deal could drag on a bit to a completion date, if it goes through. And there's no reason to automatically assume that any party will necessarily be in a mad rush to alter things regarding Ggp and Hav.

I continue to go with the existing plan unless something happens on the corporate front to change it. ie Bring H into production and free cash flow, then permitting ‘excess’ income to be used elsewhere. As I understand it, prior to the Newmont bid there was mention of the possibility of acquisition of an immediately accretive asset - but I imagine that may be on hold until anything that may arise from the Newmont thing is dealt with.
