They could do a placing anytime, but as I’ve also said before, Asx provides an opportunity if they wish to take it.

IF, as Jerryspaniel suggests there is something monumental then you will get a vote. Goodness, look at our market cap and think about that debt and equity.

Can’t see it myself. Newmont need a board and time to consider/negotiate.

In the general course of things, you don’t get a vote on placings.

Asx listing seems a done deal to me. As I’ve said, I don’t think it requires a vote, but reorganisation does. It would be a nonsense to vote against that, if we want a more effective administration as a result of the listing.

None of this would be happening without it being run over major shareholders. It is academic. Any resolution, recommended by Ggp, will be carried.

I have not previously noted any objection to listing on the ASX.

Why the mutterings now?

I found it mildly interesting that he mentioned consideration having been given at some point to a ‘modest’ raise. IF that occurs, it would in my view likely be to enhance the balance sheet to further exploration, anything that may be required as a result of new MRE. Old funding gave consideration to previous.

He doesn’t say that at all. He ‘hopes’ otherwise. Both are basically within his control. He can fix that.

Of course there are costs, legal and otherwise, and initial and annual fees, not extortionate.

Officially Ggp hasn’t made its mind up on reorganisation for which a vote seems required. It has seemingly made its mind up on ASX listing, which can be done, as I understand it, with or without reorganisation. Listing of a ‘holding company’ on AIM and ASX simplifies things for Ggp.

I have read the Articles. I can see nothing that requires a vote for cross listing, similarly Companies Act. The RNS talks of a vote on reorganisation. Nothing more.

But I’d welcome any contrary info.

Toffers. Why do you maintain you’ll get a vote on a cross-listing?

There’s never been doubt in my mind the MRE would precede or accompany the prospectus. How can you market a company without to date info, on resources and financials? Look and be stupid to bring one out later.

The final prospectus and release to the market should be held until updated. It is a flexible process, and listing authorities can start work on receipt of a draft document.

Info on reorganisation, likely they will proceed with it, should be next up and vote.

Liam’s not so daft to press him, anyway, though it might have been agreed, knowing he can’t answer.

Cross listing is separate from a placing consideration, which might or might not accompany it. Officially, no decision has been made.

Anything like that comes to the whole market by RNS. IF done, it could form part of the prospectus.

He was as clear as he could be. A lot seem to look for skulduggery where there is none. Almost paranoid.
