Haven’t looked at the new presentation yet but as far as I am concerned, I don’t think Hum has put a foot wrong and I simply don’t get the criticisms of Dan, which seem largely unjustified. Why is the share held back? Said it before, it’s Sustainable selling into the market. Doesn’t matter how good the fundamentals are, until they stop this will remain a drag. I accept that several punters/traders will have sold on the RNS because of the higher AISC etc ( which will come back down again) but I believe the Sustainable issue is the main issue, and has been for some time.

I watched the recording (no internet currently so can’t post the link). There was confirmation that they are aiming to participate in the Govt’s ‘moonshot’ programme, that they are doing just over 10,000 tests a month and growing, and lots of stuff about the accuracy of the test, that PCR tests are likely to remain the ‘gold standard’ despite other tests coming out etc. Apart from that it was an explanation of how YGEN is working with partners to provide a whole package to employers ie logistics, software, and the tests/processing (which is obviously YGEN’s bit). Basically YGEN and partners work together to take over the whole management of Covid issues for the employer, or that’s the impression I got anyway.

I don’t know whether anyone from sharetalk reads this, but Zak never gives an overview of fundamentals. He gives an interpretation of technicals, I.e, charts.

Although overall revenues will be down (inevitably and as we knew) Saas is still running at over $2 million pa and R&D is being maintained at pre Covid levels. The latter point suggests to me that overall revenues can’t be down much more than already flagged in the interims (unless offset by cost reductions elsewhere). Given the market Cap of just £3m this is a good a trading update in the current climate.

Bumblehum. The SP has not been ‘stuck’. If you look at a 6months or 1 year chart, you will see it has gone up quite well over those periods. I agree it has been held back, but there is a much simpler reason for that: Sustainable capital have been selling at a profit into any buying pressure for a while now. Simple. As soon as they stop, or better still, switch to buying to boost the value of the stock they have left, we are off to the races.

The scanning process at the venue will be instantaneous, so no more need for a queue than there was pre virus.

They will know before they queue that they are all clear. Nobody is going to queue knowing they have the virus.

The need to scan the chip in a box at a venue took the market by surprise and this is what triggered the drop in my view. However, whilst the solution might not be as ideal as getting the result directly via the inhaler, the potential for opening up economies is huge. Just think of a big sporting event as an example. Thousands want to go, get there tests done locally at any number of convenient venues and then, armed with the all clear on their phones, simply scan the Q code on the turnstile etc at the major event and they are in. Once people figure out the potential the SP will bounce back and strongly in my opinion. This will overtake current test/trace solutions and quite possibly reduce the need for masks, social distancing etc in venues, and make cruises, large spectator sports, concerts and all sorts viable again. I was initially surprised and disappointed by the scanner dimension but the more I think about it the more I think they are nonetheless onto a serious winner here.
