Thanks scoredagainsteps ,always a pleasant discussion on this this thread , ATB and i hope you tell me in 6 months " i told you so " ...
Good post Hunsen , agree with a lot , think there is a recovery....just the timing , im just a bit more pessimistic i guess , not sure we will be back to "normal " by the spring ,think this will take 12 months + to work this out in the world , hence affecting health care and DNL , again shame as its a good company but have learnt not to "fight the market" and will run with winners, ATB with your portfolio ....
Last autumn i wrote "scoredagainsteps, Dest has indeed been good, one other difference between DNL and DEST is" unknown potential" crazy though it is one problem with DNL is its business potential is TOO well know, in that the market knows the deals. approvals etc markets like the unknown potential , hence DEST rise ,its the what if,,,,deals ,potential of treatments etc .Market knows DNL but should still mark up price.....thats my belief ,hence invested here,,," When i wrote this DNL was 60p approx Dest 65p approx and RENE 64p approx (my other holding in pharma stocks ) , However i now feel that DNL is not for me ,the situation has changed and having read there update again its clearly more than the placing keeping the price down ( both DEST and RENE also had placings at appox 60-70p and are now both £1.25 appox ) There note off hospitals and covid making it difficult is not going to get better in the medium term ,I had high hopes but the market and MM have a different view and its always good to review the portfolio every 3- 6 months or so , my holding now sold i wish the holders ATB and really hope the price reflects the potential someday...
Carrotsticks good question , it comes down to two views , do you believe that this virus is around for some time despite vaccine .social distancing and restrictions , and that it will impact our normal lives for the foreseeable future ( check WHO , medical views etc ) OR that governments around the the whole world will have everything back to normal by Easter ( check previous promises ,targets of governments etc ) also note the reaction on this thread for so much as hinting all is not well in the world or that things are not rosy...but hopefully at least you have a straight choice ,ATB
FunInvestor , thanks for your " robust " dismissal of my comments as i check before posting and i dont normally feel the need to defend my comments however for you i will make an exception....please see and read THE TIMES today front page under " restrictions may still be needed next winter as millions have virus " also notice caution in the article assuming virius pandemic will be a thing of the past by the end of the year.....i may may have read it wrong but seems a clear headline to me....
latpulldown i appreciated your optimism on "Vaccinations hold the key to a return to a normal life without lockdown and restrictions" and would love to think thats the case ,but as the Chief Medical Officer for England, Professor Chris Whity said ,we may still have restrictions next winter ( depressing i know ) but as he also said the virus is not going away with the vaccine ....just helps us restrict the health problems of the elderly...not the under 50s
So at last its nice to see lots of 10000 and 5000 buys as price nears 60p...could be interesting at above 60p bid though , as the placing subscribers will finally be in profit , but will probably want more than just a couple of pence...we will see...
Totally agree George_Wright , you got to love them at the daily mail......run the headline last week " back to normal by February" ...just as Scotland announces lock down into ......Feb ....and We are to follow tonight .
ps And there it was looking hopeful and then the sell. MM could not wait to drop price,so watch this share with caution....
Not completely overlooked, but difficult to trade , only 3 MM and there aware of sum chunky 100000 sells, going through at .10 ,but watching...closely ATB
Totally agree Soder, who was ever going to say "no" to this vaccine or any other , such is the need of governments at the moment for good news any vaccine looking for approval will get it ( so far none of been declined ) .....not wishing to dismiss the hard work of pharmaceutical company's but if they said 3 weetabix has a 20 % success rate they would get approval ...
Well was hoping for better targets ... "Achieving a target share price of 100 pence for a three-month
rolling period during the five years following grant" ...if thats all they are expecting or need to achieve over a 5 year period that explains why we are at low 50s now....would like think share price would be considerably higher over 5 years...
I have to admit the positivity on here and other stocks like Cine, IAG etc is encouraging ,however comments by some ( neon ,momoni33gmail.co etc ) that we are back to" normal" and thats its all a "governement scam" are living in a differant world from most of us, do you really think cinemas, flights etc will be back to normal by march 2021 ? The Vaccine has only just arrived and if we even managed 1 million vaccinations a week we are into 2022 and then only 85/90 % of the population , we are in a once in a hundred years event ,people will need time to readjust and the markets are not reflecting this yet.the Dow being at an all time high in the midst of this.....nervous yes ..realist..very much so
I agree...good company but 6 months ago the share price was 46/47p ....now its ....48/49p ,clearly MM .investors small and large and sentiment is not in its favor....
Or the MM can continue to drop the price....therefore getting more distressed sellers as they see the price drop.....those that brought at 60p placing are starting to see a real dent in there capital .....50p support now gone too ...would love to keep the faith but sometimes you just have to admit " i have made a mistake " ....will hold.....just ...but next move will be key for me....starting to have a uneasy feeling about this share price....
So this could get interesting if it nears 60p.. will there be a rush to sell or did the MM take a high number over the last few weeks as the price fell to high 40s and the shares were "panicked out " .....are MM really that sneaky ...? lol
And Tim Martin agrees....just sold "431,500 of the Company's ordinary shares
at a price of £11.66 pence per share." where does he think the share price is heading ?...
Hi ,Hunsen, i agree with most of your points , especially the the placing shareholders , must be a bit of a negative to have brought at 60p and see the share price in high 40 s ,thinK that will be the main problem and like you not RG . If the share drops more those who brought at 60p will be more inclined to sell .If it goes up its got to raise nearly 20 % for them to make money, and that maybe the problem on the way up...but not RG
