Not for me as fully invested.
Normally I am investing in big cap HY shares, but have recently started dabbling in more risky AIM shares. I've got very small amounts of 88E, BEG, GGP and NCYT - all suffering double digit % losses, except GGP only bought yesterday with POLY proceeds.
You should be nervous if you hold same shares as the "legendary CSDI" - as the outcome tends to be a disaster LOL

Very good chance you will be in profit shortly.
For comparison I have the phenomenal sum of 353 shares in IMB, and that is my biggest holding (at 13-14% of my p/f).
so no - I will never be rich - but I do enjoy following the markets.
I remember seeing one poster who had invested so much in IMB his annual divi would dwarf my whole p/f.
My target for this year is to make £100 per week, to recover last years £5.5K loss. Now you know why I have to work until at least I can get my state pension - only 9 yrs away now.
The big advantage I have is no fear of losing - it would not be life changing if I lost the lot - but if I can make 10% p.a for a few years that will make a difference to me and Mrs CSDI.

Yepp sold trading batch yesterday having bought on Friday.
Glad I sold the smaller batch and kept the other for the divi - nice surprise to see SP @ 1550 ex 65p divi, when you consider it was below £15 last week. Happy to hold for now to see where the gold price takes us. I only bought last week @ 1567 on Tuesday and 1502 on Friday. For trading has advantgae of no stamp duty too.
And I am in TSCO too, bought @ 223 last week loking for a short term trade of 5% profit or so in run up to ex div.
Interesting that we are in similr shares.

Can't decide whether to offload 1 of my 3 batches - all chicken feed compared to your investment.
you may have more in IMB than I have in my whole SIPP lol.
Funny that I have set a target of 1588 to offload my cheapest batch, then 1670 for my 2nd batch and will have to keep hold of the original batch that cost £29 per share.
There is not a lot of time bw H1 results on 18th May and the ex div date, which I am expecting to be 27th May.
This divi is the lower one, so will be around 21p, based on LY 20.85p. Strange arrangement with their divi of 1/3, 1/6,1/6,1/3.
I am hoping we get a run back to 1650 at least, which was hit in January, before a little run back to my starting point of £29 !!

I reinvested mine (sorry for the pun) in GGP - Doh !
Double-whammy so far

So far the drop is only about half of what I expected, so would have improved my profit if I had held my trading batch which I sold yesterday. Frist time I've seen a big FTSE100 divi hold up on ex-div day this year. I've seen some very big drops with other shares, with falls of double the divis for BATS,GSK, IMB, RDSB
I presumed approx 65p drop would occur at the opening, but it looks like gold may be picking up as now in $1790s.
Onwards and upwards I hope for POLY

I'm pleased for you guys that VOD is picking up - I would expect nothing else after I sold at 134p back in Feb.
So really you should thank me for selling as this usually guarantees that a SP can fly to the sky, and by contrast any shares I buy are likely to sink like stones - 88E, AVST, BEG, CEY, GSK, IMB, NCYT, RDSB - just my current (big) losers.
Out of my 15 current holdings only one is up by more than 2% - you should be grateful you do not have my natural investing ability.

Pleased to say SP gone up about 5% since Apend's gloomy prediction just at end of last week.
So I've sold my smaller trading batch today, and kept hold of the other batch for the big divi.
The test will come shortly as tomorrow wil see the start of a sharp drop in SP due to going ex-div.
A drop to minimum £15 is what I expect, then its over to the MMs to see if they want to add to the misery, and they usually do with any big divi on a FTSE100 share.
I've kept hols of one batch on the basis of last May's price action after ex div, where the SP recovered within a couple of weeks. Can we expect a repeat this year ?
First key - is will the FTSE keep climbing with the recovery play or is it about to run out of steam
Second key - is gold price - will it hold in the 1770-1800 range and test 1820 or is it ripe for a drop to 1700. Any more shouts from Yellen of raising interet rates should help the safe-haven gold.
Provided production remains untroubled, the company is confident of another good year. The current P/E of just over 9 is undemanding, and suggests there is plenty of room for the SP to rise on a value basis.
So I am happy to hold POLY for now, together with CEY from the FT250 and decided to put todays proceeds from POLY into another junior on AIM - GGP at 20.2p for a short term trade, with TP of 23p and stop below 19 for a rough 2:1 risk/reward trade while POLY deals with going ex-div.

If possible, this is why you want shares in an ISA, as nothing to declare then.

didn't bloody work for RBS/NWG
They were £18+ in 2007, then did a 3 for 1 down to about £6 each.
Then there was a RI at £2, and shares fell to below 30p in 2009.
So unhappy with that they did a 10 for 1 consolidation, as didn't want to be a "penny share".
Current shares @ £2, worth about 1/10 of the RI shares, so overall loss >95% since 2007.
Bleedin' disaster - while Fred the shred lives in style on his massive pension.

Let's just hope that NCYT does a damn site better, and the SP grows for a while thanks to the fantastic product line.
another "Operations Update" RNS like the 23/4/21 will do wonders for our SP.

I would suggest posting this on the IMB board where its more appropriate.
I hold IMB and thought £29 was a good entry price in Jan 2018 - could not have got it much worse !
I've got a couple of smaller batches at 1411 (Nov) and 1483 (Feb) which are trying to stem the loss of blood for me.

Yes I'm in same boat as fully invested too.
Got a few more shares than normal atm (14 in total) with 13 in the red zone - ouch.
Now got the p/f split into 2/3 for trading and 1/3 as HY/LTH. 3 of my old shares are in the LTH and trading parts -these are GSK, IMB and RDSB. Still waiting on divis from IMB and GSK from weeks ago too, but expect these to be sorted shortly now.
Lots of ex-divs coming up this month with POLY on 6th, AVST & RDSB on 13th, CEY, GSK, TSCO on 20th and IMB to be announced. Need a little surge to get some of these into profit, as I've been busy clocking up 13 sales last month, with 12 at a profit, but all just very small bits and pieces.
I've been cutting my GSK from 20% to 10% over the last 3 months and decided to invest that elsewhere. Sometimes it helps to reduce the overweight ones if they are not performing. all a bit risky as you never know, but aren't all shares saddledwith risk ? No guarantees in this game.

As for accounts news, the recent RNS says FY Results will be published 29th June.
Last weeks operational update (23rd) was beautiful - so another strong update by end of this month would be good enough for me.
Just can't expect RNS every day. Patience is what we need.

The chart looks like it is trying to break out and up, so good luck.
I sold at 897 a couple of weeks ago, and put proceeds into BATS @2695.
Will be interesting to see which gives the best result.
I've found a couple of nice quarterly divi payers in the REIT sector.
So if you are after more income, AEWU pays about 8% and SUPR a little over 5%.
Not sure if these are suitable, but I have small position in AEWU after recently selling for a 13% profit in a month, and repurchasing @ current SP. currently not holding SUPR, but sold recently and put proceeds into similar theme with TSCO.
Just ideas for you to look at if of interest, but not as any recommendation.

Gosh what a pessimistic view Apendragon, but understandable if lost £15K.
Easy for me to say, as only got a few shares in here.
But I have the oposite view, and topped up with another 100 shares on Friday at 1502p, to add to 170 @ 1567 bought earlier in week, after selling 167 @ 1637p last week.
First target for me is back to 1640, and with the divi this week of about 65p, expect this SP to do well based on Q1 production update and FY20 Results.
Suppose that's what makes a market - one persons sale is another ones buy.
Let's see how we go this week, as we need gold price to start picking up after recent consolidation around $1750-1800.

Trading around divis can work, but equally can fail too. Normally good if you buy 5-10 days before ex div as gives chance for other divi hunters to add last minute. However no "system" is reliable as it all depends on market movements on the days leading up to ex divs.
when markets are on a slow and steady rise, then it is quite profitable.
Trading for divis in a bear market can be painful.
I've noticed that bigger divis say over 3% of SP tend to get hammered down on ex-div day and the following few days.

Feb & Nov's divis for IMB, were followed by falls over double the divi.
Likewise GSK got taken down severley with the Feb divi too and that was only 1.5% of SP.

I have a number of shares with HY divis and keep my own spreadsheet of dates etc, and use the following divi info for research as well the company sites, HL and my own broker site (stocktrade).

Yes you have to watch the companies you invest in.
Any where an individual own big % can be a trap for the PI.
Generally big FTSE100 shares are very liquid, and not many have individuals that own huge % as these are mainly controlled by the IIs and Investment Houses like SLA etc.
My first ever share purchase was MRW back in July 2004 @ 195p. Shortly afterwards a major II sold all their holding and caused a 5% drop in no time. Amazing that 17 yrs later the SP is lower which I think is the case for TSCO and SBRY too. It might have been around time that MKS was being pursued by Philip Green for a fiver - now look at MKS shares too. All sorry stories for the LTHer.
I am more inclined to target 5-10% once or twice a year if I can these days rather than hold long term as I have had so many shares that just drift down and down (more than Status Quo) including two or three of my current holdings such as GSK, IMB and RDSB.

The SP fall over last few days does seem over-dramatic.
I sold last week @ 1637, and bought back in on Tuesday at 1567, so surprised to see it down at 1520 today.
Last year's May div was only about 34p and saw a good rise from end of April to ex div date.
Then after the div drop only took 10 days to move from 1644 to 1737.
It just might be able to repeat the trick if we are lucky.
As someone who has started trading around divis, this one I think I will leave to collect as the potential for a rise in SP looks good, especially if gold can continue to consolidate and move up a little.
The recent rise and fall in SP from around £14, upto 16.40 and back down to here, is not correlated to POG.
with no ryhme nor reason for these fluctuations, I think we just need to keep our nerve and have a little patience.
My other gold-miner, CEY, seems to be getting hit harder than POLY.
As both had good FY20 results and positive Q1 TU's, the SP movments smell of manipulation by the Big Money and IIs.
We are mere pawns on the chess board, or the fish amongst the Sharks.
