I think you've got it about right, they have made it somewhat complicated, and as you said if you're planning on holding (as i am) then it will be like walking a tightrope trying to sell one or the other on a rise, because for you to make a profit on that, i think one has to go down and the other up, and as it stands i think they'll both mirror each other for the moment, still a away to go with this yet, although they seem to be a long way into the process as someone said, if they are picking board members for the potential outcome, that said, still got regulatory hoops to jump through, so plenty of time for the dust to settle.

this is the thing, my recover target price mid term was 1.40 so with that in mind this seems somewhat low, equally, the nex SP is also well below where i thought it would recover to, so we'll make on that as well. Also, both shares were dividend payers before covid, so there is that angle to consider for what it's worth.

that said, the way they've structured the deal, it does take out some of the fluctuations in the nex share price i think, by valuing it at a percentage of a share rather than a fixed value.

@jcb208 what's your thoughts holding both, just let it play out and take the new nex shares, or try and sell the stagecoach ones on the spike, or sell both on a rise ?

i'm nicely in the green on both so don't have the concern of being down on them

investing for dividends is dead, they're all falling multiples of the divi in the days after the ex date, having been held falsely high going into the ex date, and then today, when there should be a number of re-investments from the divi payments, we fall another 4% .... remind me again what was the divi % ??

only reason i'm still here is cause it hasn't reached my target price and i'm on an average of sub 190

Interesting, because I had figured ion it going lower than this, and was waiting on the sidelines to see what price i could get, and after the news over the weekend thought i might have missed the boat so to speak. yet it seems perhaps this has further to fall yet??

yeah i've held a while, topped up a few times, all before we got bent over the table and rogered senseless with the consolidation and nominal value change i'm now so far under percentage wise there's more chance of me winning the lottery than these useless tw.ats digging us out of this hole, absolute waste of money, so i've basically had to write off this "investment"

Personally, i think (or am hoping?) that credit suisse has called this right, and the rights issue is scaremongering hence why no response from the company, plus a little MM tree shake thrown in so there's enough free float to make a killing when it ramps up

months to scrape back some of the £2.50 drop from early summer, and then the results come out from what thinks itself as a big company and worth big share price and boom, behaves like a penny share, what a piece of crap

i know right!... i was actually thinking about topping up and lowering my average a bit, but someone lost their patience this morning and dumped 6.8mil as soon as the market opened.

I wasn't planning on letting this one slip into the red, as i've been just over break even for a while, but it caught me out with the slow decline and the spread, that said, i'm not buying yet, as i dont believe that presentation was good enough to stop the current slide and we havent reached the bottom yet

Agree with Redceo here, there has been a massive downturn in benefits form holding for the divi, or buying in for one, most of the shares i've been watching you'd have been better off selling before and buying back after and you'd realise more in the gain of shares than the value of the dividend, not sure how it was with this one through the special dividend as i had sold some time prior
