Oh and wyndrum, that analogy with horse racing is not really a valid one; on AIM the variables all concern one entity, in a horse race there could be dozens. I was recently recommended to put money on a horse because last year it came second and this year it has already beaten last years winner. I did and it again beat last years winner - unfortunately so did the other 12 runners. IN AIM you only have two or maybe three outcomes, up down or sideways, you don't have the fortunes of 12 other runners to consider. Yes you might say but you could choose to back another AIM stock (or 12) , yes I could and I could, indeed, back them both (all) - and both (all) might win....
