RE: Why is this still not flying?15 Nov 2024 11:36
RJ, I think we are broadly in agreement, indeed even with your assertion that "but if a rise is expected on spudding of the first well, then surely now would be the better time to get in for any top ups or newby investments". My only point of divergeance would be that with a definitive date comes "certainty" and had we got that date today it might have given the certainty that got the newbies "over the line".; now we will have to wait a little bit longer for that date. However it is a minor point. I do also believe that most of the lth are already fully loaded and would not be buying on the basis of today's news; they had already accepted that it was a done deal and of no particular consequence.
Incidentally I do not expect the spudding of the next well to dramatically move the dial either but incremental sp rises on successive drills - no one of them will add hugely to the cash pile, nor therefore the future debt funding; it is the completion that will do that - the "whole" is a lot bigger than the "sum of its parts", in my view.
Finally on the subject of PR, or the lack of it - I suspect that right now the BoD's "audience" has changed dramatically after recent events and in the full expectation of imminent ML approval. They will surely be doing all they can to raise interest from potential Institutional Investors, JV partners and Debt funders and hence their attendance at the recent US trade convention and the forthcoming Tanzanian Mining seminar.... if so, I would excuse them somewhat from not being too hot on the PI audience at present.
Anyway one and all, I am due out for a friends birthday "lunch" very soon and may not be back! So that being the case I wish you all a wonderful weekend now.
