Can't be arsed to double check but I'm pretty sure the majority of the shorts were taken when were £2+. After the Regal acquisition.
The newer shorts should be looking at closing but the old ones have plenty of time yet.
I think.
Crimea river will ya.
I'm off to buy a bottle of Dom P this eve and get it chilling in case we go full nuclear.
Not watching the big fireworks without a nice glass of fizz.
FunInvestor has been a mainstay of this share through thick and thin.
Many have disagreed with him in the past, myself included as he likes to articulate the negatives (which get jumped on despite it being a valid and common sense approach) as well as the positives.
Over the years though, he's been an absolute warrior battling some of the most vitriolic and downright evil derampers we've ever seen and helped to clean up the board.
He is 100% invested and is certainly no deramper trying to get people to sell.
And I'm willing to bet he'll still be here taking his healthy winnings well after some of the recent weirdos on here have long departed.
If anyone's buying us, it'll be Microsoft the way they're going at the moment.
This is way back on track to full health now.
Covid in all our territories will be over by mid summer.
Sit back and wait, gang.
Everything else is just noise.
See you at your exit points. :)
Just noticed it's now taken over $1.5B global.
Wow.
Makes of that what you will.
I'm taking it as a massive belltower to Hollywood that theatrical release is where the money is at.
And as we're invested in the world's second biggest cinema chain.
Well...
Squid, please show us on the doll exactly where Cineworld hurt you..
Sqiud, nobody likes burnt Calamari and you're cooking yourself into oblivion here.
Avatar 2 (regardless of anyone's artistic opinions) will either be the biggest grossing movie ever or very close to it.
And that's all we care about here.
Even as a troll post, what you're saying doesn't stack up.
Get to bed and give it up for the night / year.
How we all doin?
Been a bit rough this last month but nothing we ain't all seen before and now we all know where we stand.
Hope you're all having a good weekend filled with good company, food and drink.
Genuinely think we're in for a great year with some nice surprises along the way.
Keep up the good fight and may we all prosper come year end with the ultimate smash that will be Avatar 2.
Love you all. Xx
Yes.
Very much.
Mooky won't want to give it up and will take us stateside first but for me, it's inevitable and is the main reason why Jangho are still here despite numerous opportunities for them to bail out with millions in profits.
Just like the hundreds before him, I doubt we'll hear from him again as soon as this goes 40+.
Rubbish attempt at trying to create FUD on NYE.
Boris can't close anything down without comitting political suicide.
And even if he did, it would not be a disaster as Covid is practically over in the U.S where 75% of our revenue is generated.
Get back in the bin.
I found this an interesting read.
About how the revenue from movies is distributed.
It goes on a bit and although no-one really knows how much Cine for example takes from a ticket sale, it seems to be agreed that it's approximately just under 50%.
Much more detail here if you fancy a bit of a read:

I don't mind them having short interests.
Just be honest about it. At last then they'll be posting from a position of validity and giving a genuine reason for their position.
The rest are either just paid to bash the stock or are trolls with no life. Seen plenty of them over the years.
I can't think of anyone who had a genuine short here. Had a few who pretended I think but no serious ones.
Hope we take all the shorts with us if / when we decide to list in the U.S. :)
I've just tested positive on a PCR. Email came through about an hour ago.
All I had was a scratchy throat and thought nothing of it until a friend said I should get tested just to be sure and not spread it all over the olds at Xmas dinner.
Turns out I do indeed have it.
Feel pretty much fine. Cough gone after just two days and a bit of a heavy head but that's it.
Means Christmas (and the next 7 days) alone though which on one hand is rubbish, also on the other hand - lots of uninterrupted football on the telly!
But back on topic, in my personal experience, it really is mild. More like an inconvenient cold.
I know everyone is different but it certainly backs up the 'milder symptoms' as per the thread title.
I'll admit to knowing nothing about what that would mean for us as Cine shareholders.
The exact wording was that they were looking at a listing of Cineworld or a partial listing of Regal in the US.
I'm completely guessing but assume they'd just transfer over our number of shares to the U.S listing?
Biden on now.
Just said ABSOLUTELY we are not going back to where they were in 2020.
For vaccinated people, they are protected and will only be mild symptoms.
No lockdown.
Regal staying fully open.
Bad luck, deramp squad.
I know nobody watches YouTube links but this one gets straight to the point and shows Sky News (yes, Sky News!!) actually get to the facts of the matter on Omicron.
It'd be funny if it wasn't for the hysterical call for lockdowns from most of the media:

I really hope that all our 'concerned contributors' will still be around when this goes back up to the 50's and beyond.
All us lot here have fronted it up while we're down here.
My bet is that we'll never see or hear from them again. Just like all the other cowards paid or otherwise have done many times in the past.
Easy to punch down.
They run away when it's even, let alone when the tables are turned.
