Yeah it seems with the Glycans ..... the plan was monetise them ASAP then it seems the money was not going to be much considering the potential they hold .... so redmiles money meant go forth and add that value CAR T ADC etc.... Avidimab maybe different it seems there is still potential deal/s or 'research collabs' that could come there... however again there Covidity means scancell get a chance to trial it so the value on success would be many x.... we are still in H1 so in theory still on track forever piece of the puzzle to click in it's place but time is getting on with no news...
one thing is for sure RG is not retweeting CEPI anymore now that can mean nothing is coming or talks are on .... I'd think talks are on that does not mean we get funding news soon or at all but it doesn't mean we don't .... certainly main thing is getting into trial ASAP

ha there is all sorts of history here we don't know too much about ... always seems SCIB1 had a pharma interested in it right from the beginning and everyone understood on trial success it would be sold...it never happened that was the eve of the AGM of doom!.... Can speculate that pharma was GSK who just had a disaster with their very expensive DNA vaccine trial meaning there was no way they were going to take on another DNA cancer vax.... if so not savvy of scancell to have put its hopes in one basket... anyways whole new chapter now :)

In the early days when moditope was discovered there were plans among some on the BOD RG in particular to spin it out and create a new company just around that platform I'm not sure about this but think they had a potential money backer for that but DE flatly refused and kept all the IP together he won... since then of course Glycans and AvidiMab have come in house too... And I would not be supposed if on the success the new peptide delivery would come in house too... and on real real success reckon Lindy would be bringing in all kinds of talents and their IPs into scancell......... sadly we are still at a stage of being unable to turn great IP into heaps of money

scancell aren't spinning out IP they are bringing it in ....they just can't manage then to monetise it lol

I think that is why Gillies O'Bryan-Tear was brought in... in fact, there are some seemingly more potentially commercially capable members on the scancell BOD now (Ursula and Susan) than just a couple of years ago so here is hoping. .. if we can't tie up anything around Covidity we are really really struggling as the interest has to be huge... I get it may take a ph1 but hmm... again added funds from say a CEPI if not a pharma would be fully utilised.... certainly Covidity is not proving to be a vaccine in 100 days so far lol...

Always been my favoured way to get a pharma involved ASAP... of course not if it means an IP giveaway which seemed to be the story with the MaB deferred deal... infact I suppose on those there are those collab deals.. but I don't know why not on ImmunoBody and indeed moditope too... hmm ok TCR with BioNTech could be classed as that lol ... but you get what I mean pharma have products that they are struggling to get results on yet spending a fortune when what they probably need is to find the right target and right combo... ImmunoBody seems perfect there...

As with Covidity again yes might be funded for ph1 but the clout of more funding and a partner who can shift things is needed ASAP... for instance the delivery by spray could then be rapidly advanced or even work on a pill if possible.. there is always work to be done that needs funds...

The thing with the pipeline and something scancell always tell us at presentations is they are always looking for partners whos techs can be improved by scancells .... well that Ipatasertib for example is owned by Roche and is not performing well at all for them in most trials they are putting it into and spending a fortune on... well this glioblastoma trial is tiny 10 patients but shows promise again a very very difficult cancer... well surely anyways in such situs you make contact if you think there is a possible meeting of beneficial techs you do the pre clinical if in this instance Roche say yeah interested ( why would they not be? they hare really struggling with this product) and if it proves to have potential into the clinic you go .... hopefully paid by Roche...

Why I say that is scancell have developed a SCIB for glioblastoma and proved it got CD8 and CD4 t cells into the tumour however sadly even when in combo with PD1 it failed to extend the life of the mice to such a significant amount to justify pushing it into the clinic .... this is one very hard cancer to crack however this new Ippataserib could well be a perfect combo and with other treatments in the mix too... one for team science scancell that but I'm sure Lindy will be aware :) .... though no doubt rather busy at the moment too...

Indeed Ray we all know it depends on trial results and well actually getting into those trials in the first place!
I just feel something is brewing and funding can come at all stages it is not like anything will be wasted here.... nasal delivery progress etc... ... till we know we don't and is all speculation just this is a situation like no other that attracts attention to a scale we have never had before... the chance for scancell to shine on a world stage and for everything to progress rapidly... redmiles 2 year plan dream!... I dunno been too many slips SCIB1 combo almost a sick joke that just is not funny at all now... anyways we will find out sooner or later what way this plays out :)

vaccination has shown a way however it is but in the beginning there needs to be more vaccines and a coordinated worldwide vaccination program...with boosters for emerging variants of concern and then we can say this pandemic is under control until the virus no longer can overwhelm global health systems.
