Jez, as has been said many times on this bb the current share price will have no correlation to the eventual company sale price...but if they do slide to maybe sub 20p I will definitely pick a few more up! As you say, that world cruise has to be paid for somehow...Sound Energy don't pay their Non-Exec Chairman much these days...lol! It used to be worth a fairly regular free dinner & some wine but these days things have tightened up somewhat.....................

The third well would be an appraisal well at the 10 location so a fourth well would be needed if we are to complete the program...or would it? James has often said we will be sold after three wells - but what constitutes three wells? Emails to Head Office please.............

Certainly very promising news & just what I was wondering Joe...maybe a step-out well will be required & who knows if more funding might be needed for the last well...but that would be a good issue to have. I am about as exposed as Lady Godiva was trotting through the medieval streets of Coventry! Do I worry...not so much nowadays...but I used to be very concerned back in the Indonesian days, pre James Parsons. Since he took the helm I have been far less anxious. Never the less, this latest well really has to be a fairly big commercial success to finally settle any remaining nerves I have about Sound Energy. I don't want to be relying on the final well. I feel we have a success but will it be 'qualified' as just the structural closure or will the strat trap be filled with gas too...big questions that may see partial answers next week...maybe tomorrow. Our fate here hangs in the balance...but I am confident that our three well duck will be broken and the ducks will be forming lines again...and laying golden eggs!

Jag, how was your world cruise & who did you sail with? I was going on a world cruise but decide a 5 week cruise would do for starters and see how we got on.

Jez, you're OK on the salt front...I only threw some at 9. When we drove past the 10 location I simply took a picture of the TE10 signpost - so this well is totally unsullied by my blessings!

drjenner, yes we have to remain cautiously optimistic but I like the fact we have the same porosity at 10 as we have in the 5 area & they are certainly giving it the full test treatment. The strat trap seems much less risky now than it did but I guess we won't know the full extent of the discovery until end of March. I am confident there is commercial volume so we wait & see. Jones' step put theory is not outlandish, neither is an agreement from Schlumberger if 10 is a great success & we drill no more. Maybe we don't need to risk testing the Paleo & go for the quick sale with Schlum. We of course will be the last to know & it is beginning to feel that way now. Time to 'wash, rinse & repeat' with the other two tumble dryers.............................

My understanding is if the high end of TE10 is proved, I.e. 4 TCF, after taking into account 50% recoverable and say 50% equity you are left with 1TCF net to Sound and we could then multiply by £1.50. Add previous discovery and it on the way to £2 & then as was said earlier, take a 10% figure for what shows up on the science...20TCF & it's another £2. If this well comes in big we could in theory have £4 or more on the sale price. That's a very comfortable retirement for me so fingers crossed!

Ponks is a true gentleman & you have my word on that as an LTH Sound investor who has been about the most transparent private investor here for over the last 10 years.
