100% can't argue with any of that, hey come Monday I might have a different outlook and run for the hills, it's hard enough not to sell today.

I tend to agree, it’s really a tough call to cut and run with some recent profit or hold for what should be further gains in the current price once we see actual action from the board in selling some of those non- core assets. I fully understand some investor’s view of getting out as this company has really let everyone down for some years now, but this really could be the worst time to jump ship now. Although I got lucky this time I’m still showing red ink on this so the temptation to hold on is pretty big, just hope I don’t look back in a few weeks and kick myself. GL all.

Price starting to gain some traction now, think my punt may be paying off from 80p. Mind you I can’t say I had the best night’s sleep last night, not sure why I put myself through this sort of thing with this lot.

Whatever it is it seems to be Poker related... The group said clean EBITDA of €46.4m (2013: €60.7m) has reduced primarily due to €7.3m of operating losses in New Jersey, reduced domain sales and the loss of Greece. And it says a non-cash impairment charge of €94.7m (2013: nil) against poker-related and certain other intangible assets resulted in a €94.0m loss after tax (2013: loss of €11.6m).

Thanks malta, I think i need all the luck I can get. Fingers crossed we close above 80p today, seems to be holding on which is a good sign I hope.

I looking at my buy as a punt and nothing more, feels like I’m putting it all on Black or Red, at least if it doesn’t pay off I won’t lose all my stake unlike roulette. Ladbrokes results were bad yet the price went up as every knew they were going to be bad, so any bright points tends to lift the price, this is opposite of 888 where they were expected to have good news and when it came the price fell as everyone already pushed the price up in the weeks before hand. Things I’m hoping for are positive news on the World Cup and even more helpful would be a first sign of Spring Owl and our new Chairman having some influence on the news with some new ideas going forward perhaps a hint of some sort of breakup of assets and or a special Divi. Worst case is they do nothing as usual and disappoint and I take a 5-7% hit on my punt, best case may be a 10% win. Guess I’m just a contrarian at heart and like doing things the hard way…lol

Spot the late trade today

Waited till 16.26 and got in at sub 81p. Still not comfortable about it but I’ve got to keep my longer term glasses on and not panic short term, roll on Friday. 888 results in the morning may lift it some and I hope some might then take profit from them and take a punt on this one.

The only word of caution I would have as of right now with regards to 888 is the price has snuck up from 112 to 130 since the last statement in anticipation of the good results. There are 2 red flags for me now. 1. We could have a ‘sell on the news’ situation and 2. Any mention in the forward guidance of tougher times to come could also trigger a fast sell off to crystallize profits of late. I’m sure at the open there is profit to come but I would not hold on too long before selling again just in case. On the other hand I could be completely wrong and we see 140 by the close on Tuesday. DYOR. BPTY might get a small lift on Tuesday on the back of 888 too, but again short lived I fear.

Should be positive in NJ, lets hope Stars get delayed in their efforts to get in.

Your right, does make you think that we will hear some news next week alongside the results to turn things around with any luck.
