I think the AT sells were the catalyst. I don't see why but the timing is too coincidental. Shakeout? Maybe. Not sure. Problably. The sells a all fairly small. 14.899 to buy and 14.78 to sell. I have no cash available or would have bought. I bought in the 15's. I expect to see December play out low key like this now. Kind of like August did. Bit of a mizz time. Full Year results won't be out until March-later than usual. Who knows which direction Trin will go in the meantime! It has consolidated this year but that doesn't seem to be reflected in the shareprice at all. 30% drop in 3 weeks.

I don't even know if Royalty tax has been implemented, Maybe this information apathy is why people selling. It is indeed mildly depressing to see us in the 14's again after all the results and PR as well as target buy prices in the 30's. Yes I moan. But even though I support Trin's solidity and all LTH's ...I still find it depressing. I guess it's just the selling although it was inspired by some carefully timed AT sells. I'd like one day to see Trinity live up to itself.

We are now only $1.50 above SPT level. 5 weeks above . not gonna take very long below 54.4 to average less over 3 months. Mr. Imbert better get in there quick if WTI slips below 54.4 for a while ! Only been above it for 5 weeks as i say. Needs 3 months averaged above $54.4 for SPT to be implemented as we know.Just food for relevant musing.

I too find a whiff of trollness in the air. I've been wrong before and did once offend a true holder on the Trin site ....but it's like that sweet after-smell of marijuana that u get when someone has walked by ..:-) Whatever either way...just an observation.

I was not referring to newsflow with regards to December. Of ourse mewsfliw can come at any time. I just meant that potential buyers or funders may not wish to initiate anything in a 3 week " wind-down" month with 2 weeks left. January very very often sees initiation of new planning. Of course you are right that newsflow in itself is just as feasible this month as any. Regarding the lack to date of any published progress...we have pretty much all said this many times. I feel it will become more of an issue if we get to end of January and CER/FEED/funding/etc.etc is still unmentioned. That will be more worrying. That will be a silly amount of time and could well cause greater worry. At the moment I feel the same regarding the vacuum but I feel that with 2 weeks before Xmas that no mind-blowing " sale" news is likely.

It's December. Hardly prime City activity time pre-Xmas. Irish Brexit issues probably obsessing govt. and companies. It's a non-month. I expect nothing. "The road to Hell is also paved with good intentions" .. why so many decent comanies go down. Promises have to become reality in a dog-eat-dog market. Nothing concrete has been announced except UU status. The drift down is certainly due to that. I feel it's a case of letting December dissolve and await the New Year to start with new efforts. Just my view.Vacuum allows all sorts of ideas to be entertained ... no news is not good or bad in itself ... but it doesn't inspire confidence in progress in a savage market. Just my take.

12.5% ? Has it been initiated yet? No news even re. tax on gas? Now Dec 6th. Curious vacuum. " By end of the year" unquote.A lot of energy companies may be a little confused by the hiatus of info.

Trin are still awaiting news re. SPT sooner rather than later (my latest missive). But i think we may all be in the dark here.

How much I hate sayings my friend. Churchillian proactivity is the way forward for each of us and the world-it's the central philosophy of my life. But you are right in the case of Trin.

Sure yes. It's cumulative fristration and a dodgy day just gone by. Colours perceptions for the worst at times. Never doubted the company. AIM however rarely seems to cut Trin any slack. And never for long if it does. Just a moan as the Sargasso seems to have Trin in iits grip again and politicians are not seemingly timely nor reliable. I don't see 25p this year but would prefer by far to be wrong.

Even the most positive and steadfast of us can rail at drifting s/p and no tax news. " To be implemented on 1st December" Unquote. Well......what is?? Meanwhile .. back at the ranch..Trinity (perhaps the most solid company in AIM) drifts slowly down. I won't be selling but it is sad to experience " same old" with Trin. Wtf is happening re. oil and gas taxation? It's now 4th Dec. No news. Not a good enough reason for a share slip but..hey ..a good excuse. Oh the vagaries of AIM. No news is not a good enough excuse for a 25% slide. Steady as she blows but the bosun gets weary of the changing random tides :-(

I agree that tax reform is essential and am frustrated that they can't just get it done. i'm not in the 25p this year camp. I'd be comfortable with a steadyness at 18+ to be honest. trin moves rather unexpectedly and quickly though.....who knows? Just have to rest assured that the company is not dodgy and is on a steady course. A good enough reason to stay invested and take things as they come.

This time i'm in the 25p plus crew. I never was this year. Trin can move very quickly. We are not a 15p share. The people pushing 25-30p this year were mainly rampers and tosh-talkers. Trin needed to consolidate and financially settle...prove itself if u like. Q1sees new drilling and Q4 2017 results. It's a steady ship but we don't have the tosh-talkers. A good thing.Know thyself. Know thy share. Konw thy company very very well. WTI may spike for many reasons. Trin will respond.I am in here to the hilt. A very well-run efficient profit-making company. S/p being suppressed and reacting to sells atm.

Thanks for that. Yes I read it again recently. Although I am still wary on political promises I am becoming more and more bullish on oil. Several recent reasons. Trin is IMO a good one to be holding right now and anyone thinking of getting in here ought to act fairly niftily. WTI may mot quite yet explode but 2018 may truly see a decent reversal of the last 3 years. 3 long long years . Nearly 5 yrs in Trin here. What a time we have had.

Been promised for two years now. But I follow your point and logic. I agree. I didn't like the sell-off today. Not that it has to mean anything i guess. We had a seller at 10p and that seemed illogical to me.Money down the drain as i saw it.. Maybe we will find out when we look at Monday's share price. if it tanks then it's not been good. I don't expect leaps for Trin. For some reason it happens to other companies but MM's don't allow it for Trin.And when Trin tanks it tanks with a vengeance. Never rises in the same way. As you say...a well-balanced reform should benefit all parties (perhaps not gas by the sound of things). It seems gas has got away with a lot more than oil. You were right about upper 50's oil. I didn't see it. to me we would need a saudi vs. iran conflagration for 80's plus IMO. But we'll see. They've given up trying to contain US shale now I feel.It's a case of containing the 5% beast by controlling the 95% as much as poss. I welcome and enjoy your optimism.I am much more wary of politicians and their promises..oil or anything. I hope you are right and we see something good come out here. If they stifle production growth by high tax then they are just plain stupid.But SPT has been stupid for 40 years and it's taken them this long to look at it ! .Let us hope they don't compound the stupidity and instead do their country and business growth a little good. Looks like all being kept under wraps. Would not surprise me if they delay a decision as it suits them just dandily now with SPT as it stands. Darn that overriding cynic in me. I would love to be positively surprised ( I truly never thought WTI would reach $58 !) . I hope I am. But I have that niggling politico-cynicism that gnaws away at my optimism. Either way Trin is in profit..although you might not think so looking at the share movement. But a fair profit-based tax would be a boost.
