And this Profitability production tax you are suggesting would be an immediate and new tax where there is only SPT. 25% vs18% and 33%.does not seem a great leap for Trinkind. I know it's all sspeculation atm. Bit confused too with the irrational overdone drop when the purchase of WCoast didn't cause a rise in the first place and seemed an irrelevance to the market. Been a sh** week with funeral and other stuff so sometimes things get to u more than others. I just have an inherent mistrust of politicians .Being an ex-member of Conservative Party I think I really have met many people who think they know what they don't have a clue about!! Sorry mate. But don't worry about it. It's nothing that won't be fixed in time. The sale of west coast assets to RRL worth 4.6 million was rejected by the regulators- not because of the assets nor because of Trin. The govt. did not give an adequate reason why. The asets produce 220 barrels a day and make a good profit so they are not a problem. They are known as non-core assets to be divested (sold) for cash. they are valuable and there were other buyers when RRL took it. Trin just have to start again. And oil is now ten dollars higher so it all ain't bad. The market has a downer on Trin and it's just an excuse to lower the price really. Trin are no worse off. Just back to square one as to looking for a buyer. There were others before. any excuse to lower Trinity's share price and the MM's will do it. It is disproportionate to reality. To you....I'm afraid we have to give more time. Me too..And others with a lot invested here. Stung me a treat. Just keep spending.........our time is limited and we gotta make hay while LA sun is shining.Truly.

If you look at GO's sheet it already includes Royalty Tax at 12.5% ( if my memory is correct). I do agree re.more revenue via gas as ammonia is TandT's largest output I believe. But P 35 is almost aggressive. And strike me down with a feather.... no oil companies paying PPT??? Really????

states that no oil companies are paying PPT !! I did not think this was the case. It did not also read as a very profit-friendly budget. T and T may have made a mistake if they are to punish companies' profits as it sounds.A very curious page.

Our posts crossed. To me it is a blip. Nothing materially changed. 12 months until CLN's. Debt-free with enormous assets and potential? I don't know any companies in this position personally. And it's only a 14 months off.Too late to buy then.Some of us have been here 4 years now !!! Perfectly handleable. Above all.....no PPT for years ...I don't think buyers have really got this.

And being the deep political cynic that I still actually am...wriggling out of the addressing of SPT would be a seriously bad credibility move. It has been announced. Wilson/Heath/Maggie/Blair in particular/Cameron/May....all have u-turned at their convenience.(and that's just my lifetime and my country) Same goes for just about every other nation as and when it suits politicians. But SPT neglect right now would be a serious credibility shooting in the foot. And that doesn't mean I expect it to happen.....just that it may or it may not. But it'll be at a credibility cost if not.Trying to be clinical here. If it does happen then the devil will be in the detail...Best way is not to expect. Either way...Trin will be burden free in a year and that the ''fear factor'' is in my opinion grossly overdone.

my conservative figures are right Trin will only forfeit $3 million if the sale didn't happen over the next year. And keep the assets. They do need the cash ....new drilling may already be factored in but they need to pay off govt. debt before addressing CLN by Jan 2019. Hence the sale in the first place IMO. But whoever may want this asset will get very very cheap oil...onshore is maximum at $18 breakeven I believe. No PPT. SPT at 18% if applied.WTI above $57 atm.I would suspect that other buyers may be interested. Not sure what the regulatory prob may be......same happened with Touchstone.But it worked in Trin's favour 2 years ago. A 10% drop is hugely disproportionate to reality. CLN's can be addressed in many ways over next 12 months I would suspect as this board and their funders ( Segel in particular) have deep pockets and great business acumen.

but will they put their money where their sense ought to be? We shall see. if i was a new buyer and had analysed Trin fully then I would get in now. But investors don't often have a clue....institutions too.

I still feel Trin is unfairly punished. 16.1 to buy and 15.5 to sell. Trinity tends to suffer from the slightest neutral or poorly understood news on AIM. Oil is $10 more than when sale first agreed.OK it's in SPT territory but the numbers regarding profit seem to me to be on Trin's side.They could bag 6 month's more production if they flogged it by next Easter. AIM is so short-sighted. Even BD said the same in the last presentation.

I was referring to the 15.6 to buy at open. I fully agree. I have worked out that in a very worst case scenario these 212 barrels wil make $20 profit a day. That's 1.5 million a year. At 4.6m RRL bagged a bargain. over 30% profit in a year.Even if Trin didn't sell it it'd swell their bbls and give them 1.5 mill dollars in the next year.Only a loss of around 3 mill from the sale. They are looking to sell anyway and can keep the produced west coast oil until that may happen. At 58 dollars and if SPT revised they are likely to get better price. 30% profit minimum from this west coast area....and I believe I have well underestimated it.
