Not sure you can draw any such conclusion Frank, did they tell us about the valve been worked on before it was all completed - Nope, why would you expect this to be any different? The presentation issued Friday states that the work is progressing on the lower perforation, so I have no reason to believe anything else.

Hi Peking, no expert but my understanding from talking to solo's operations guy is that they use a crane (same as the one they used to fix the subsurface valve) a wireline and a Perfgun (charges attached to the line) to perforate the casing at the lower level. It is already drilled below that depth so no drilling required and no special kit other than the charges.

Yes, pretty much as predicted really Crusty, still good the vote is out the way, nothing more AEX or it's shareholders can do now but wait for the licence, which is the "BIG NEWS" after all.

I don't think you can compare what is going on Offshore for LNG Export which is many years from any implementation with near term onshore, also I think the Political connections of the Omani/Tanzanians and their cooporation agreements should not be ignored.

Don't disagree crusty although I thought the TPDC had confirmed that it was approved by them and was with the minister for final approval & I agree ref SOLO they have clearly indicated their support for the deal via RNS.

Either way, it is with the GOV and the licence is now the "Key Element" for delivery of the Farmout to progress with the Zubairs.

Probably about the most sensible thing the BOD have said - "They don't know when the licence will be issued" Indeed they don't and clearly never have.

As of Fridays vote though, the only thing standing in the way of the Zubairs concluding this (imo) excellent deal for themselves and the Tanzanian people is the issuing of said licence.

Maybe Crusty, certainly the ball has been passed back to the Gov, AEX have done all that has been asked and now it's up to the Gov to issue the licence so that the Omani's can complete their intended acquisition, it is only the Tanz Gov standing in the way of the Omani's progress now.

Sorry, hit enter -and I don't disagree but It will be interesting to see if the relationship between Tanzania and Oman, not so much just at a corporate level but the sovereign level move things forwards quicker than with western corporations and the Tanz Gov.

Tanzania and Oman have historical and blood relations which date back to the 19th century. This relation is very special as Oman is the only country outside Africa where Swahili is spoken as first language and its people have blood relations with people of Tanzania. The major role of the Embassy is to translate this specialty into more tangible results for the mutual benefit of two countries and its people.

EVERY O&G entity in Tanzania (including the "majors" Shell, StatOil and even Dodsall) is suffering the same delays and issues with License Extensions

First 2 stages of the farmout complete - 1. Offer - 2. Vote - 3. Extension licence (would hope to see this before the end of the month to allow plenty of time for completion) 4. Completion.

In the meantime it would be perfect to have an update on KN-1 perforation between now and the licence.(assuming it comes of course) ;)

Quite right steve, it's not in the bag yet, 2 parts of the process completed - offer and vote. The next stage is critical, the extension licence as a condition of the Farmout completion, the last 2 steps of the 4 to complete.

Would be good to see the licence extension before month end and an update on KN-1 perforation between now and then.

slide 17 says KN-1 "perforation of the lower zone progressing" Thats a positive change.

Pipeline is not decided yet, the TPDC are likely to build it, just like they did for KN-1 but if not then yes an issue.

RNS can't come till after the meeting, probably still in progress.

SOLO plan to farmdown/sell post C-1 drill at some point. They are currently sitting on a cash pile of around $9 million cash so enough for 2019 commitments confirmed so far - C-1 and 3D seismic.

It's not about the presentation, of course it's mostly the same as the October one, other than slide 17 that says KN-1 "perforation of the lower zone progressing"

It's all about the vote today obviously and the moving to the next stage of the Farmout.
