You need to start with the right ingredients, in the this case the Geology and Discovered and already Appraised huge gas deposits that has thus far delivered Trillions of cubic feet of gas and 3 quarters of a Trillion Cubic feet of 2C with a retail value at current GSA rates of $2.5 billion and there is likely much more to be seen with the full 8 well development plan.

Maybe it's the $35+$5 million deal currently on the table with the $107 million to bring the HUGE gas field into production?

Licence first of course, the only Major obstacle standing in the way of the Zubairs concluding their (imo) excellent deal for themselves.

Quite right if you give away - sorry sell 50% of the main asset then the top end on full 8 well development must proportionaly be adjusted, but there again at least it might actualy happen.

I wouldn’t normally comment on Non-Exec or broking appointments but the announcement that AEX has appointed Linda Beal as an independent NED is encouraging for shareholders and provides much needed backbone to the board. I don’t comment on broker quality as such but the addition of a good city and oil industry name as an advisor can also only help the process for the company. All they need to do now is to fill the Chairman role, I’m sure that the usual headhunters are on the case…

In terms of walking away, it ain't going to happen, the BOD have clearly identified Ruvuma as the primary investment asset and the extension licence is highly likely to be delivered. The Gov have had to sign a temp contract with Orca yesterday because the demand is at the top end of WEN's producing wells and they need more gas.

I would also be surprised if it does not come well before the stop date as it's the only thing standing in the way of the Omanis grabbing 50% of Ruvuma from Aminex for that littel $35+$5 M

Will also be interesting to see how close WEN are to production capacity, which is around 100 MMscf/d - they were @about 90 MMscf/d so reaching capacity without compresion etc , in the meantime ORCA are supplying through a short term sales agreement up to an additional 35 MMscf/d

Yes I agree 1p if the licence has not been delivered by March stop date but there again if delivered before, I expect 2p to be nothing but dust in the rearview mirror.

I think the Chinese built the pipelines and Songa plant but why would they be critical to the Extension licence Crusty?

As for the Omani and Tanzanian links, they seem to run quite deep at several levels, who knows maybe Orca and the rest are being held back pending Omani onshore production. (not applying that to offshore LNG, at least not yet!)

The extension licence is critical and like you say steve it is a condition of the Omani Zubair/AEX farmout completion. In saying that now that Aminex shareholders have voted in favour, it is possible that the licence will be issued quite soon, even this month with luck. AEX and the Zubairs need time to complete the paperwork before the stop date in March.

Somehow, I don't expect the Tanz government to stand in the way of the Zubairs myself, simply because of their political and sovereign connections but you never know.

lol Caddy, does make you wonder why they are bothering with an extension licence, why not just issue the 25 year development licence and be done with it.

Not in the gift of Aminex anymore steve, now the vote is done the only thing stopping the Omani Zubairs from getting their hands on AEX 50% of the aasset is the Gov issuing the licence.

Lets hope the Omani/Zubair Tanzanian "special relationship" delivers.

Well could luck as a day trader Frank and your 10 to 20% gains and loses.As for solo, they have about $9 million way more than enough to drill and pay for 3D seismic.

It's all about the licence here now and when it drops.
