Morning oldtrader, I have no more information than you so can only give an opinion.
The Gov have extended the licence.
The Gov have already collected the CGT for the farmout transaction
The extension is only for 14 days instead of the months we have seen before.

Looks to me like they are about to sign off the deal, so could be anytime between now and the 14th imo.

Lets hope so!

So if the gov do not sign within 14 days they will have to repay the tax they collected on the deal

Oh sorry dunder, just almost every time you post here you mention Drewky who has not been seen or heard of for years, so he clearly means a lot to you.

Anyway, BH and JB clearly never had any other fall back position (BATNA) and they certainly don't have one now either. Either the low ball offer concludes and AEX get a $35 mill carry to production or they sit on the licence for 9 months and see if they get any other offers.

Lets hope for shareholders it concludes in the next 2 weeks and they can get on with drilling and development.

Never has been Random, a MAX of 2 more weeks, could be tomorrow, Friday or the 14th July. After 2 years of waiting for the Government, 2 more weeks is nothing.

Export sales can't be reported till the import declaration in the receiving country and proof of delivery has been received by accounting. Next week or the week after would seem more likely for sales reporting imo.

Bucks has a point & I would think very carefully before buying into any African asset and you sure want to buy in at the right time in the cycle. Most people on the side lines will probably wait for the 2 weeks to see if the FO completes and then ride the drill. Those who like an early gamble might bet red or black just before or after seeing which way the price moves over the next 2 weeks.

Either way after 2 years, 2 weeks sounds a lot closer.

The licence time provides enough time to drill end 2020 or early 2021 as AEX have already stated that's when they expect to spud. What happens after that is any ones guess, licence renewal? 25 year development licence instead? another 2 year wait?

After 2 years waiting for the farmout, I guess 2 weeks does not sound so bad.
