Wow, so latpulldown writes an angry response to you and miss speaks once and he shouldn't be trusted, says a lot for you as you have been wrong with majority of your post thus far, presumably we should heed your advise and not just take a strangers advice on a public bb, thanks, dont think many people knew that little gem of advise! Please shove your fishing rod right up there and sit down, patience is seriously wearing thin with you now
So no reduction then in shorts, and are new Holland just adding to their position because they opened at 58ish? Playing a dangerous game, fair few shares if this is allowed to push on into the 70's
Ah sorry you were asking for a more technical answer, had wondered! I think there's certain shorts open far higher than these levels, and no fear has posted the more recent shorts that have opened, suggesting that past 70p, there's more pressure on them to close positions, but honestly I don't know exact figures!
Behave, surely you know what this meant? shorts down to 7.5%, ie out of all shares available, 7.5% are accounted for by the shorters, down from was it 12-11% at its worst, and only a few weeks ago at that, well that's my understanding
Could do with just a formal announcement on opening, as you say, I was certain we were going to get a squeeze as they rushed to close. Wb did us no favors as we had just broken free of 70p range and was looking good! Patience is going to be the key here, day trading looks a dangerous game to play, well done anyone who's successfully dipping in and out, more balls than me!
Investiod gets a rough treatment, but reads as a clever bloke voicing his thoughts, fears and strategies. Ive been surprised in the past to the reaction of his posts, I thought he was going to get slaughtered when he said he was back in! I'm not sure on paid ramper or derampers, can't believe it's worth the effort, but I do likereally like people like nf, funinvestor, lthcine etc who post info, often from a paid source, or from places I wouldn't have looked, for me and everyone else to easily go off and read. Unfortunately mixed in with the selfless good posters, the realists and proper traders there are a lot of pointless trolls, I would say let's all be respectful to each other but let's face it, it's an Internet forum!
Yeah excellent find nf, and although cineworld hadn't sited corv19 directly at the time, I kinda read between the line that if the business (cineplex) at the time had been seriously impacted then that would be just cause for withdrawing a deal brokered before in Feb,. However in this case the judge clearly didn't buy it, but think there's half a shout that cineworld could go down that route?
You reckon March, interesting, I'm in that camp but potentially down turn starting jan/Feb with the bottom occurring just before the reopening of the world, ie end Feb beginning March but this year has been nuts to try and predict when a down turn or raise will occur at times, 100% I will be reevaluating everything end of dec but hope/gamble is sentiment will continue to grow until the numbers start painting the true picture of what we have done economically around the world to protect the vulnerable, financial crash of 2008, bottom occurred march 2009, means nothing but got burnt back then so wary for sure. Would be a shame to surround all gains occurred from this year, but whatever your strategy, by summer 2021 I'm fairly confident a lot of us will be higher than we are today
Ha, whatever make you comfortable onlywestham! The dig was potentially at original poster on this thread as you had previously started a thread and now we have two both on same subject?! Anyways your right, it can't harm just personally nothing has changed on this share in the period between one article and the next, anyways looking good for next few days here so can't complain!
Yeah but literally nothing has changed since their last nonsense saying don't touch cineworld?! Ps there was already a thread for this, my pet hate is having new threads constantly popping up just repeating previous ones, sorry if sounds like a dig just seems odd to me
Goes to show they literally are full of bs, wouldnt touch with a barge pole two days ago?!
It could take a while, but from 60p, a return to levels seen in 2019 around 240p would give a 300% return. When I look at the risk and reward potential, even a modest investment would have the ability to make me rich using those numbers....as many other say normally does the opposite so slightly concerning!
Yep, zstarz, it's what I've put my money on but honestly think it's a toss of a coin stuff atm, anyways loving the positivity so going stop staring at a screen and get on, fingers crossed!
I dunno now zstarz, I've been very much in the camp he hasn't got the guts to pull no deal, hence why we are where we are, promise you if I was 'negotiating' and being meet with the same problems I would have done it sooner and planned for a no deal scenario. However he does seem to be sticking to his guns on the key issues, and EU aren't bulging so it kinda look more likely than not no deal will be announced?! As to sp, 100% will be a red day all round, this not down to 40, would actually predict it will be one of the better performers on what will be a shocker of a day for me, getting well twitchy but just hope you're right and it's for all show and a deal of sorts is sorted, or that I'm wrong and no deal isn't as bad because of vaccinations/reopening country/Dec rally etc balances it out. Long story short, I'm bricking it atm but still all in on the market!
As I say, it's a fair point made investiod but think you're fore seeing something really bad for cineworld that actually will come back and bite wb more, depends on how the other cinema chains react etc by a boycott or a discount for wb films could very well be a good stance. The fact it's not been discussed with several film producers isn't something to be dismissed either, im not sure about cinema in 20 years time, but feel from now to 2022 I'm relatively chilled about being invested and will reevaluate when numbers start to come out. I reckon in early 2021 will give a potential re-entry point that you probably won't refuse, but I originally brought in at this level so decided I'm hold for now (have traded to half my original avg- patience and I would easily got lower and far less stress!)
Hear your point investiod but think that's like saying why do people rent not buy, so much cheaper for same experience, ok sh*t analogy but if you don't have the initial capital you're not going to be able to. Someone who lives in London and has made 100k on top of a presumably good salary is slightly disconnected from the masses. Cinema is the experience for the plebs who can't afford all of what you have, it's a night out, a date option, a kids birthday treat, it's fun and different for most, obviously if I had your set up I probably wouldn't bother going cinema either!
I'm going to be honest, I'm really not sure but kinda assuming it's near bottom ish, ri price 10p, dropped to ri so I brought, no knowledge or belief in the company will make money next year, but it will be safe, at least for a little while now, so complete punt by me (tiny £250 stake) I seem to be the only bugger who plays in £100s not £10,000's on these bbs! Gla
Right idw, at what point did you think everyone on here thought that this was a safe bet? Are you aware scattered amongst all the posters there's going to be a fair few proper investors, who make proper money and know the markets well, im not one of these, and neither are you as you just let your broker advise you, apparently. Hell yeah it was a risk to hold out for debt waivers and extention, I actually felt the lenders had very little choice as previously gone over, but and I fear boring you with saying the same thing once again... ha, actually you probably won't mind that, RISK VS REWARD. Be negative sure, but tell us your game plan, like na once this gets to 80p I'm shorting or literally go find another share you like, this constant fishing b*llocks is just as tedious as all the new rampers proclaiming a raise just because they've recently joined the party, bb board has got ridiculous of late, Aston Martins was just as bad once everyone felt 'safe' just attracts new investors who insist on starting a new thread every two seconds going choo choo and the like, rant over, gla today, oddly not too fuss with this one today/week/ month as there's a fair few updates/ good news due etc. However im personally very nervous of Boris doing what I've gamble he wouldnt have the balls to do and leave without a deal!
Yep I hear that jm and pinkeye, and as I said as well the drop was going to happen, didn't stop me just checking what I could cash out for, he's made money out of it by ditching at 90p, I bloody didn't and wasn't given a medal because I held down to 16p, massively regretted it at the time. However I'm long and don't agree that this is a death nail for cinema but I don't see the harm in his uncertainty, you've read what he holds, big, relatively safe companies, all with debt I may add but with possibly a clearer path to a the return to profitability, some are here for a quick buck, others hoping for the return to its former form, the statement I read meant big drop today, longterm I decided its not as terrible as made out, ie read all views and opinions, then formed my own strategy, obviously people don't like views changing but if the outlook changes I really can't see the harm to reassess your position, anyways really do now have to go work!
Right let's get this straight, investiod stated that this would affect the share price, he was right, 20% drop, we all probably tried at least to see what we could sell today, me best I could refresh on 63p, I decided no at that because I didn't think a rebuy at 57p was possible and therefore not worth the heart ache, I haven't added either because simply don't know if this will drop more considering the 'good' news that is due over next week. Discussing tactics and thoughts is the whole point, not laying into people who express concerns and opposing views, gla I'm turning it off now, and just hope doing nothing won't be a decision I regret
Yeah OK maybe to eliminate day traders, but that's a large spread, bloody tyipcal, just starting to get comfortable with this investment! Thanks for info as usual,
