Agreed. No real logic to why the shares dropped so far today but I'd expect a bounce later and a solid week ahead.

Also not ideal that we get a geopolitical crisis and an oil spike on the weekend before the results. There's going to be a lot of noise tomorrow so perhaps a good opportunity if the results are positive.

I think that Eckie has lost all sense of reason if he is driven to compare high-dividend yield stock owners to fundamentalists or cult followers. Fails to see there are perfectly rational investors who are happy to buy into a dividend stream. By all means blame management for their business performance but they can't control the SP other than through their management of the business itself.

I think we're treating these events as separate but in reality they are all tied into the CEOL results. I'm not suggesting they aren't positives but I think the orders of magnitude are vastly different. Much of the information in the PFS is known while the JV terms can at least be guessed and the ASX listing is a nice to have. The market can price in all of these events at the point of fast-track approval rather than waiting for the details.

That's not to say there won't be plenty of upside after the CEOL comes in positive - but it will be a profit taking opportunity that plenty will take up.

I doubt that anything Ed said or does next week will have much bearing on the SP in the coming weeks. There's only one story that matters here.

More relevant perhaps is some trouble down in the gulf. And we have a whole weekend to follow that.

Although there is no change to the facts, that same binary-event you mention will have a profound effect on the valuation of CTL. Maybe the market is upgrading its view of the probability of the award or is at least pricing this in more than it was previously. We are not a widely traded stock so a little extra activity can have an outsized impact on the SP.

The alert viewers will now have noticed that we have passed the price at which a large number of older warrants are "in the money". That's not to say they will be taken up instantly - standard option theory here would tell owners to hold to maturity - but there will be a supply of cash available to CTL from these at some point, c£1.75m

Everlong, it's a bonus set by the Board to incentivise the completion of the SA sale. Not atypical, indeed I have seen cases where the "management fee" has been a lot higher.

They didn't confirm if there would be buybacks. But the capital reduction does at least open the prospect that there will be some money coming our way in the foreseeable.

I doubt the market will be taking much notice of posts here so give up trying to convince people to sell just so that you can get a better price.

As to "what is a good entry point?", I'd say it's there now. Subject to early trading holding around the £16 level, it looks a very good price for a solid portfolio of top brands.

Even simpler, it's just accounting mumbo-jumbo.

You can wait for £13. I'll be watching this early doors tomorrow to look for a good entry point.

It sounds positive but I could do without the confused terminology of a direct award. I don't think they've used this before so really can't say if it is good news or not.
