You can say that again. Yesterday and today have made up for any dips that didn't happen in the longer term. However, no large sells and a few reasonable buys and hopefully we are at the turning point. This minor retrace makes no difference to the excellent longer term prospects of FDI and as a long term holder will remain steadfast. I was reluctant to take any profits and reduce my holding and buy back since there were hardly any opportunities but with this sudden situation, hindsight would have been very valuable!

Problem with FDI is that there haven't been too many dips!

I guess so but on previous days there has been far more profit taking than today which did not affect the price too much so assume that a cumulative effect took place today. I agree that the first diamond sales are the catalyst and as for averaging down I am committed to the hilt already with no loose change!

After today's drop a little good news would be welcome. Particularly a big yellow one!

AGM on December and chairmans letter may produce some increase. Other than that I guess first diamond sales in January. Very little movement and dealing activity at moment, some profit taking but now mostly waiting for next level.

What's the opinion on all the largish trades recently at 56p designated n/a? I would think buys but stand to be corrected.

Further, here is an excerpt from Mining review "he Liqhobong diamond mine, located in the Maluti Mountains of northern Lesotho, is 75%-owned by Firestone Diamonds and 25% by the Government of the Kingdom of Lesotho and has exceptional and large stone potential with a high incidence of fancy yellow stones. The asset comprises a main kimberlite pipe – 8.5 ha in size; a satellite pipe of 1.6 ha; and associated dykes." Who could want for anything more ?

Maybe not reaching those dizzy heights but with the mine in full production of 1 million carats a year plus the possibility of large fancy stones, Firestone is really going places and the share price accordingly.

Very quiet at the moment. What spur can we expect to see further advancement? AGM, believe December? First sales January? Further progress report? Discovery of large fancy stone? Any ideas?

You could be absolutely right A good report, which it certainly should be, could enhance the share price. Agree regarding the pics but since everyone knows its completed can't think that that would have any impact. I think FDI and their staff have to be congratulated on what they have achieved and how they achieved it in every aspect. Also their promulgation of progress at all stages and most importantly the way on which this has impacted on the share price. Not too many AIM companies could match them. I believe the present price will be distant history in the period to come. Shareholder value is a term often used but rarely achieved. We certainly have it.

Looks like we have a fairly quiet period now waiting for eventual info regarding the production or sales in Jan. Of course, if they find a big shiny fancy stone early in the proceedings, that might change the situation!
