Not long until the trading update. Holding fire on buying more until then.
No bb, must be saving cash for div payment or paying down debt, either way still cheap at 72p
Let dec IR know you think Stifel Nicolaus are incompetent, two RNS in less than a month have to be fixed is a joke. Its not that hard to do maths in excel.. https://www.div.energy/contact
Cheers thanks for confirming.
Anyone had issues getting deposits through today? Expecting a transfer in today and its not arrived.
Finally a decent sized buyback of 500k shares. Shame the average price is so high stifel are abit useless at running the BB, rusty should use a more competent broker.
Share price action is not ideal but being able to crystalize a loss in my GIA and re-buy the shares to my ISA is a silver lining :)
Should be a blue day today with nat gas prices up 4%
It does give you flexibility to convert when you want instead of using whatever fx rate dec announces. So swings and roundabouts.
Could be overall average price for all the buybacks? if not then it's just wrong.
Should get a good rate this time as GBP is weaker again!
Can you post a summary of the research note?
Yeah, he bought £147,790 worth of shares in may 2023 too. Will probably see more director buying soon.
Dividend Yields are high on many blue chip stocks e.g
Vodafone 10%
M&G 10%
LGEN 9%
BATS 8.9%
https://www.dividenddata.co.uk/dividendyield.py?market=ftse100&sort=yield&order=1
DEC isn't an outlier, many high yield UK stocks getting battered, you can get 6.2% risk free from an NS&I fixed 1 year, so stocks have to go lower to make them appealing to buyers.
Dividend is secured and record gas production!
How do we claim the shares as a capital loss when the company is sold not put into administration?
They will just have to go with whatever the gas prices were on 30th June so 2.79. From the 2022 report " we continued to elevate our hedge
floor on natural gas production and presently
maintain a 2023 hedge floor of $3.83 per Mcf."
So the hedge is in profit
Finally, great we don't have long to wait for the results!
They should at least provide a trading statement. The Interim results have been as follows:
11th Sep 2018 (Trading statement was provide 10th Aug 2018)
8th Aug 2019
10 Aug 2020
5th Aug 2021
8th Aug 2022
Also Interim results do not have to be audited... see this previous years RNS and note it says "Unaudited" https://www.lse.co.uk/rns/DGOC/interim-results-r25rfsrvzx64435.html
Be good to have some comms from DEC as I'm getting a tad nervous!
I'd be surprised given we haven't had a pre-results RNS stating when the interim Results will be released. See 1st Aug 2022 rns as an example
