I’m pleased to announce that Eni has successfully reached financial close with the UK Government’s Department of Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) for the Liverpool Bay #CCS project, a significant milestone for the Hynet project, one of the world’s most advanced CCS clusters.

 

This milestone allows the project to move into the construction phase, unlocking key investments in supply chain contracts, the majority of which will be spent locally.

 

The Liverpool Bay transport and storage project will support the UK’s industrial competitiveness for the long term by safeguarding existing industrial employment and creating new production chains and jobs. During the construction phase alone, approximately 2,000 people will be employed.

 

As the operator of the CO₂ transport and storage system and leader of the HyNet Consortium, Eni plays a key role in this initiative which will enable the decarbonisation of hard-to-abate industries and contribute to the creation of one of the world’s first low-carbon industrial clusters.

 

This project is another step in building a new, highly sustainable business linked to the #energytransition and Eni is proud to be part of it.

Pausing the buyback shows management is clueless about capital allocation.

You want to accelerate buybacks when share prices are weK, not only do them when prices are high.

2.5x leverage is not high for a very stable business

does feel likw Bunzl’s US Safety business is higher margin and most at risk from china sourcing so could be further downside there!

my guess is small caps like ITM will be up 10%+

How much will FTc be up tomorow? FTSE100 future is up 6%+

Re Tariffs does anyone know if the spaceX stuff is produced in the UK or US? I know most of FTC’s operations are in the UK but they also seem to have a US manufacturing site..

I’m a shareholder and very positive on the LT outlook and think tariffs are manageable for FTC

🎬 In a significant milestone for the hydrogen market, TotalEnergies and RWE have mutually agreed on the terms of a 15-year contract for the procurement of green hydrogen.

🇩🇪🇫🇷 The agreement stipulates that TotalEnergies will acquire approximately 30.000 metric tons of green hydrogen annually from RWE for its #refinery in Leuna (Saxony-Anhalt) commencing in 2030.

❗️This constitutes the largest quantity of climate-neutral hydrogen ever secured from an #electrolyzer in Germany.

❗️The agreement serves as a catalyst for the German market, encouraging fuel suppliers, particularly refineries, to progressively reduce their greenhouse gas emissions over time.

🏭 By utilizing 30.000 metric tons of green hydrogen within a refinery, approximately 300.000 metric tons of CO2 emissions can be mitigated annually. ➡️ This equates to the emissions generated by an average of 140,000 cars annually.

👏 Congrats to RWE and TotalEnergies for this courageous step forward 🏃‍♀️

If they can sell aerostructures for 15x EV/EBITA - thats 150m which clears the group net debt. Senior can then do share buybacks.

Given the moves in European Defence stocks recently, Rheinmetall +15% today, +10x since base in 2022.. surely Senior will see some upside in demand.

absolutely dog last 5 yeard after a good 2000-2015 stretch

they bough tech distribution assets at the peak of WFH and that business is now lossmaking

but they announced a focus on energy and plans to sell healthcare and tech so there could be a catalyst coming up…

Could also be risk of US tariffs on the UK

of the 28m of sales £25m was to the US (starlink) so there is risk that tariffs impact sales

but £25m is peanuts to SpaceX.. they can spend that and no one cares when they are worth $100bn+
