The Directors selling may have led you to believe that it was an indication that the price would not move up anymore and therefore you decided to sell, well fair enough you made a wise decision. But the act of them selling didn't force you to sell, it was your belief that this was an indication of likely SP movement, would you be feeling better if they hadn't sold and therefore you kept your holding just to see it plunge as it as.
If you work on your logic the directors selling did you a massive favour in letting you know what the direction of travel was.
As i say the issue is not their sale, but the fact that the company continued to push the "transformational" narrative whilst they were doing so, so now in hindsight we look back and have to question what really went on and their morals !
