What the list of failings in @Stats20s post does however is put pay to Donkey's argument that he wont be a scapegoat for the DHSC letting the contract expire, it clear demonstrates a roadmap of failure presided over by an incompetent.

Perhaps Neale Hanvey should change track a little (as Surescreen always gives Bojo the out), surely he should be asking the question as to what the DHSC now intend to do with the £17M worth of equipment they bought for Omega (and presumably GAD) and whether the £34M is just being written off

Keeping in mind also that we had already been burnt by the government as part of the UK-RTC, when the used withholding MHRA approval in order to ditch the contract.

The guy is a complete idiot, who got star struck by Bugger-up Bethnel, thought all his christmas' had come at once, and just gave up on the fundamentals of running the company, He slept whist Bugger-ups wife was lining up her Chinese contacts to take billions.

He claims he acted in good faith, but was still touting "constructive dialogue" with the DHSC and waiting for test selection at least a month after the contract had expired.

He claims that this dialogue was still ongoing into october/december with both parties expecting the contract to be extended, thats not the official line from the DHSC, as far as they are concerned the contract expired on the 1st October and the informed Omega in writing on the 9th December.

I have submitted a new FOI request to the DHSC

i) Any discussion took place between representatives of the DHSC and Omega diagnostics in the period between 1st October 2021 and 25th November 2021 (after the contract had expired) regarding the extension of the companies manufacturing contract with the DHSC.

ii) If discussion did take place during this period whether the DHSC representative had assumed the extension of the contract would be confirmed, and whether this was communicated officially to the Omega representative either verbally or in writing?"

Unfortunately Donkey has the skin of a rhino and wont be going anywhere any time soon.

Surely if anything he as said recently has a modicum of truth in it we should be getting EU HUA approvals over the line soon, (I would hope sometime in January at least)

If we don't see EU approvals in January then clearly something is has gone amiss, AVACTA began their EU regulator engagement in June 2021, and received approval end of December 2021, ODX told us they started the engagement in June 2021 and no approval yet, so we would hope its very soon.

This is not true, sure screen selling their products under two labels, professional use and Self-Testing (UK)

It is the Self-Testing (UK) label that passed PD phase3 validation (and is exempt from CTDA) that the government are buying "all they can make"
