Back in at a tad over 665 I'm still comfortable with this stock....still has a few issues but feel the lot was thrown at this in the results...gla

Don't think there will be a massive exodus certainly not today anyway...but maybe after ex divi date just about when I will look to buy back in as I still think this is a good stock to hold...

This was one of my fears....and one of the reasons I sold but I still think I bailed to early and even with the poor results I would buy again at the right entry price...

I am afraid I sold out.....great profit but any fall back to below 1p and I will be back....think this is still good for 2p short term but also holds good returns for traders however very risky......beware

Hi oldbadger yes I have been watching the shenanigans....and along with the P/E and the Advent situation looking like being sorted, DFS although retail is almost protected from E-commerce....ie most people will still buy a new sofa etc from a display and not from the internet, However if I have a fear it would be that DFS could be dragged down with other retail outlets but updates and actual figures will eventually take care of that...G/L

If it pans out the way I hope i will be back in before then....markets are starting to get touchy G/L

Got into this only recently after keeping an eye on them for some time....my reason for buying in the end was the ridiculous P/E I understand the risks in retail, and I feel the upside far out wieghs the downside and im prepared to take that risk on....you can never be 100% you have bought at the correct time but here goes...GLA

Totally agree if results next week are good then I have totally ball3ed it up however the vix was up 11% yesterday and investors are definatley starting to think the markets are over valued, but HSBC is still trading on a reasonable P/E and with good results could escape if there is a big correction....either way you see it its beggining to look like i bailed too early...but im big enough to put my hand up to these mistakes....as you can tell at least im not a de-ramper...

Heres one possibility if the border tax is not agreed then there will be NO tax reform....also if they get into a trade war with China that will also have a large affect.....so yes you are correct Trump has added much value to the stock market but he could also take it away....

People sell for different reasons mine was purley the fact I set a target and that was reached....regardless of ex divi date that I new perfectly well the date...normally a stock will drop by the divi on that date and like I said although I do believe this is still a good buy long term I feel its gone up too fast along with Mr Trump saying something out of turn....and feel a market correction is over due whether that affests banks is another matter but im happy with my reurn and of cousre the divis ive had while holding which was been a few years now...GLA

Well i got out yesterday, having said that I do feel this has more legs....but my target was reached and I cant help thinking that one wrong word from Trump and he could easily bring the market down 10-20% HSBA have had a fantastic run and if I had the bottle I would have held a little longer...but good luck to all holders if we do get that correction I will be back.... I also think the up coming results are 50/50 and dont really want to take that gamble but the divis are great so what ever happens holders still have that to fall back on...GLA

Could have actually taken a 35% profit yesterday and maybe i should have, however as riddler says if Henderson have cleared i see a path to at least 2p but under no illusion that this is high risk...but like i say its not as if they have no money and i dont see them going bust for no at least.....

bit of gamble.....but i bought into this today as i think it has very little downside now and the company has cash in the bank....we shall see

I certainly think this can be traded....if the sp does take a knock i see this as a buying opportunity....this is not BT...

Nothing too worrying....however big competition in India but the merger should take care of that....

I have been trading these for a few years now and been lucky enough to make a few quid,,, i messed up on the first RNS and got back in at around 118 but today i bought quite large "for me" @ around 77 pence and fully expect a return

This stock was allways going to take a breather and or a small retrace....I have no problem with that, I still feel it has legs and with the US rates incremental rises along with the share buyback and the great dividend.....whats not to like?
