So we are being told the world won't need oil , or as much oil !!
Electric cars will rule the road !
What I have gained from my studies is.
If Tesla meet there production targets for the next 5 years they will need around of 1/3 of the total lithium mined in the world. So what are all the other electric car manufacturers going to do ?
Also. Nearly everything we use is made from or has parts made from oil.
Most packaging is made from oil.
It's a bit like when we were told diesel would be a fuel of the past & Gordon Brown I think it was said diesel vehicles would no longer be on the roads.
Don't get me wrong. I am all for a greener future , however oil is here to stay for quite a while & will only be finished when it runs out so keep looking for it BP as in the years to come it will be a very expensive commodity.
Paddy.
I said that as you say that Cardfactory is " another insolvent retailer ". They are not insolvent.
I didn't call you a dumass or scum.
If an every day term like you talk s___ offended you I apologise.
Dumass or talk s___ are just the norm in Yorkshire. Guess we are just not easily offended.
Paddy.
You talk some sh__.
Anybody else getting the feeling that the lack of solutions from the management to sure up the financial position could be a ploy to devalue the company for a management buyout.
At this price I wouldn't be surprised if there was a takeover bid of some sort.
When the Pfizer & Modena vaccines came out RR shares shot up. Will this be repeated with the Johnson & Johnson being due shortly. It is reported they have millions ready to go. Got to be good news.
Paddy.
Why would a shorter buy shares. They borrow them & pay a percentage for doing so.
Maybe you should just stick to your day job.
So Paddy. You have never heard of mortgage holidays.
They don't need a rights issue.
Paid around 20 million off debt with all this **** going on.
You really think that the bank covenants won't be extended !!
1.20 minimum in 12 months.
You have seen the facts. It's a no brainer long term.
Your decision though.
Still can't believe they are not putting more effort into online sales. This can run alongside the shops & should be advertised in every shop window.
Moody seems to be a bit of a dinosaur when it comes to the online business. Maybe he should be getting his cards !
Why cannibalize stores ?
You take market share from Moonpig etc. Cardfactory are cheaper by far & could increase prices to cover initial advertising costs. It's not rocket science. :-)
Do you know how busy they were up to Christmas.
Shut start of January when they have hardly any business.
Just need to open before end of January for valentine's & I will say it again. Get online sorted.
Could be a big ask !
If Cardfactory management have not seen how urgent it is to vastly improve their online offering they should all be sacked. It has been a no brainer for years & still Jack ****.
What the **** are they playing at. You don't need a crystal ball or even half a brain cell to see it so get your heads from up your asses & sort it. It's not hard to do.
How can anyone compare paperchase to card factory. Different merchandise , completely different customer base. If anything card factory could benefit slightly from the small amount of cards & wrapping that paperchase sold as people will buy it from somewhere else.
Could do with being open before valentine's day & the management need a kick up the ass to focus more on online business so if you are a shareholder drop the company a email.
14th for the trading update.
Busy Christmas.
Still need to sort out online. This could make a lot of money.
February 2020 oil price 50 per barrel. BP share price over 450p.
January 2021 oil price 50 per barrel. BP share price 256 .
Dividend around 32p when fully reinstated.
Just saying. :-)
Think someone has seen a sneak preview of the results ?
Was over 87p when covid struck & after dividends were payed. ( was being heavily shorted due to profit dropping slightly)
Payed 14.3p dividend 2019.
Most Cardfactory shops were open up to Christmas & busy.
Closing them now for the quietest month of the year would be good for the profit margin.
You wouldn't want to be short on this share when the trading report comes out.
30s. Ha ha ha ha ha.
Dumass.
