Jarv55, I was thinking the same after watching the sky news interview yesterday in which Novacyt sales director mentioned the faster test they are currently working on. That would be an additional Rns, lol. Clearly they are well in advance of the competition.

AngryAnt, I was referring to the article you just posted when I talk about the government having announced it last week. That PHE “developed” the test, it could mean they did it in collaboration with another entity, in this case Novacyt, no? Since PHE is in charge of the organisational structure to ensure the NHS has the means the deliver public health, as apposed to R&D which is normally the private sector real, particularly with a government that has privatised almost all public services, lol. Anyway I just had that thought to ‘test’ it, lol. thank you for your positive contribution.

Today the chancellor, as did the government last week, said “We were one of the first countries to develop a test that works quickly and we are sharing this with our partners around the world.” And given Novacyt having sold some test kits for “validation” to some hospitals and having been in discussions with the NHS and PHE over the last few weeks. It strikes me the chancellor and the government may have been referring to Novacyt test. Cause prior to Novacyt’s announcement about their involvement with the NHS, the government never announced they were working on developing a test. Therefore to say they have it could only mean Novacyt’s. What do others think?

A reminder in light of the WHO confirming, as did scientists last week, that the vaccine is 18 months away, China has allocated $10 billions for “diagnosis and treatment”, as per the Reuter’s article posted last Friday.

Health secretary: “The situation will get worse before it gets better"

The health secretary, Matt Han****, has been giving a statement to parliament on the new powers the government has given itself to allow it to force people into quarantine if they suspect they have coronavirus.

He described it as a “belt and braces” approach to protecting the public. “The powers are proportionate and will help us slow down transmission of the virus, make it easier for NHS and public health staff to do their jobs,” he said. “The clinical advice about the risk to the public has not changed and remains moderate”.

He added: “Dealing with this disease is a marathon, not a sprint. The situation will get worse before it gets better. We will be guided by the science. Be in no doubt, we will do everything that is effective to tackle this virus and keep people safe.”

TrustedInvestor, I wouldn’t bank on rns til next, it could come any minute inc today and wouldn’t want to be out. There should be at least 3 RNS, anyone one will double the sp in no time, imo.

Watch the sp turn blue this afternoon. I did say earlier mms will walk up the sp after 11 am, and so they’ve done so, lol.

On yesterday sky news Paul Eros Novacyt business development director hinted appproval from the EU is imminent, saying we expecting approval in ”a short order”. I’m baffled why people other one poster haven’t picked on this.

So testing is the only means left to contain the virus. And since vaccine is year or 2 to be found as per the experts already cited previously, the business for tests kid is goin be exponential. Also according to doctors and epidemiologists the tests need to be administered 2-3 times- see cnn articles posted below about a patient who was diagnosed negative only to then show positive in the 2nd attempt...and see the other article I posted at the weekend.

Please do short! We are expecting 3/4 rns anytime within the next 2/3 weeks. FDA, EU approvals- applied for already, contract from the NHS, from China- ncyt has distribution agents in the country and the USA as well as 8 other countries. 30 countries have made enquiries inc some that have “requested quotations”, as per ncyt last rns. So 3/4 RNSs is the minimum, I would think. So please show us your ‘short’, not bottom, lol.
