tonyj, this is where you fail to understand the business simples. Millions was spent on CC lighting tech, to win huge swathes of business in India and beyond. That market has been covered, CC are not involved, and today is the first time I heard them admit it. Getting it yet?

One of the reasons for the fund raise was they wanted cash behind them should they need to fund quick purchases. They didn't go the route of debt finance as HP suggested before, because the terms were way too restrictive. HP said the placing at a higher level than the SP at the time, demonstrated access to raise and allayed fears of large customers that CC were a going concern enough to trust with their possible larger contracts. The re run should be available soon, if not already?

And that is all an investor should ever want, or expect.
To recap,
CC will not be involved in the Indian lighting market, or any other, that has gone.
There was never a chance of avoiding another placing, debt facilities totally unworkable due to lender risk demands.
Huge Bangladesh contracts are cancelled.
Large customers, handling large drawn out contracts, are fearful of CC's ability to continue trading midway through the contract lifetime. ( Massive Red Flag for me )

Some positives.
IntelliSmart have gone pilot, not sure why they didn't trust Indore?
And CC have discovered where to find SP charts!

CyanConnode, the world leader in narrowband radio mesh networks, announces receipt of a $10 million purchase order extension from its specialist in energy management systems customer for a smart metering contract in Bangladesh, South Asia.

It was a private contract, nothing to do with whatever gov. was in place then or now. It started, and stopped. We will learn one day what they saw, it won't be this Tuesday though.

'According to a statement, CyanConnode’s customer in the energy management field is based in Eastern Europe and has operations in Bangladesh. The customer manufacturers up to 1.5 million smart meters per annum and a wide range of energy management solutions and appliances for the Bangladesh energy sector.'

In addition, CyanConnode’s customer established a new utility firm which operates as an independent power producer providing electricity to some 4 million consumers in Bangladesh.

It wasn't a change in regime, whatever that is, it was the client seeing early stage installs and calling a complete halt. As of last time mentioned, CC claim they have had no word why, and JC insisted the contract wasn't cancelled as they had not contacted him. Largest contract to date, and CC have no idea if it's still live. You couldn't make it up. If you get brave and ask one this time, it could be a question for you. Don't sit on the fence again, you must have something you want answering?

After my question last time, and awkward response, think it's best left they ignore cancelled orders.

I wasn't thinking R&D credits would be scrapped in general. More likely, as they are now looking at Green, there is the possibility of means testing across credentials. I hope for CC's sake, someone doesn't suggest a company in receipt has to show an ability to produce product, that is in demand, and do so in a reasonable timeframe. Given it has been CC's largest single income stream by far for many years, I'd like to know how CC might navigate without it. For Gov. to continually throw money at this support, without a timeframe, is not how it should work. And with said recipients unable to trade in profit, huge wage increases at any level are abusive in my mind. Many businesses do deserve the help though.

How would the company cope if the R&D rebate was withdrawn by Gov. UK. ?

Thank god that penny has dropped. So, ask a proper question or two, be good to get some answers. My 2 so far are :
1/ How is it that given very strong revenues, the company needed further funding, and that came from another placing and not a debt facility as had been assured in the last presentation?

2/ It appears EESL have done extensive work on Lighting in India. Does CC expect to be involved in the Lighting sector, in India, going forward?

tony, every presentation/trade show gets you fired up thinking all this new information will flood out. As said every other time, you will hear NOTHING you shouldn't already know. Your question, if that's what it was, will not be addressed. If it is , JC will simply cover it with no forward looking, and will never be able to answer. So, to be helpful to all, why not ask a question where information has been given in the past, but CC didn't supply all the detail to give the full story? There are so many examples and , if CC can bring themselves to answer just one, we may all learn something. Outside of that, the presentation will be covering nothing of note and I don't understand how you get so excited every time lol.
