Maybe it is purely strategic but something in the background is prompting this would be my guess.

I commend your post mate and a lot of us will be in that boat which is why i made that suggestion but it seems not many are interested....whilst i understand that if people dont have much invested, trading or shorting etc etc.

But if you have a fair lump of your hard earned or pension in here then i dont understand why people would not be more interested in being pro-active.

Anyway.....lets hope the bod can pull it out the bag but im wary because we will be the last to know and the last to be considered.

I did not know that LB, have never used them but knew they were there.....in fairness, sxx holders were shafted but this is a different circumstance i believe.

Ok, i will humour you.

The person who manages the telegram or sharechat group, im not a member so dont know what it is but that person should have everyones email address....if there was an interest, i would ask people who there local mp was and i would split them into groups.

Then i would ask each group to contact their mp and raise their concerns that they have this amd that invested and they are worried that russia will seize the assets without compensation.....each group should ask their mp to raise in.parliament the question that if that were to happen what route should investors take to redeem their investment or shoukd they just accept that it is a write off.

There's a whole host of other things that could follow that but its a start and you would have highlighted your position.

And there you have it.....thats what shareholders of eua do now, as soon as they hear a comment they dont like they filter.

I dont care who filters me but i am always amazed with shareholder apathy.

Even if.....and its a mega if, russia where to sanction a sale they will not be allowing eua to distribute any monies to foreigners of the west while their top men are sanctioned with frozen assets.....its just not happening.

The mine will be there but it will not be in eua's hands.

Putin has just said that sanctions against russia are like a declaration of war.

Within a few weeks these sanctions and things like oil tankers being turned around will start biting really hard and russia will react violently to it......the eua licences will be revoked and the mines will be taken back in the national interests.

The russian guys on the bod will be compensated in other ways but eua shareholders will be told to get lost.

You have but one chance and its not through sitting on your hands and hoping it will be ok.

If you have a decent chunck of money in here you need to wake up and take action now!

So its not absurd to think the russia will take back the asset and tell the eua bod and shareholders....tough, the west sanctions us and we do what you want.

Despite people here giving reasons why it will probably not happen......i would say it almost certainly will.

Your missing a trick eua shareholders, you should be mobilising and lobbying this government through your mp's that seized assets from oligarch's should be used to compensate investors who have their assets seized.

Your going to leave it way to late and when you lost all your money and you start crying.....the answer will be.....sorry but your too late!

I fear that is how a lot of shareholders have gone now.....someone says something negative or even suggests something pro-active and immediately you have all these people coming out and suggesting they are shorting blah blah blah.

People who post on these boards cant see the wood for the tree's these days you are either a shorter or a ramper and debate is immediately shutdown.

This war has jubbed eua....traders love it, shareholders should take the risk seriously!

I said last week and people turned their noses up at it.....through that shareholder chat group someone should spend 200 quid and get a lawyers letter written or send an email to their mp....if russia nationalises the assets and does not engage with the companies via compensation then shareholders should lobby the government to seize and not freeze the oligarchs assets so you could make a claim against them but it looks like the government will let the oli's off scot free anyway.

Its not a question of what i believe or indeed what Putins mindset is.....there is no evidence that he will go further.

Do you think he will go into moldova or back to georgia.....neither are in nato?

2part.....we can argue what that means for ukraine but what evidence do you have that suggests he will go further?

Ofcourse surrender is best....all this talk of dealing with bullies and putin wont stop there is rubbish.

Its ok to say we will deal with bullies when the bully is not pointing a tank at your house or a gun to your family's head or your wife and kids are living in a camp 1000's of miles away while you are defending rubble and risking your life to do it after losing everything.

Putin wont stop there because he wants the old soviet union back....there is simply no evidence for that at all other than guesswork. Russia would have no chance of beating nato in a straight fight so if that was his plan then it would have to involve nuclear war and i just dont see it.

Russia built all that military on the border and said what they wanted and ukraine did not do enough to resolve it because they wanted to keep the euro and nato ambitions and it has backfired big time.

What russia has done is disgraceful but the world leaders and ukraine have ability to fix it and the longer they wait the worse things are getting.

By the way, im just not happy with the china position....no more chinese food for me and i will be bypassing their goods also!

Whether you class the russians as bullies or a country with one of the strongest military arsenals in the world is by the by imo.

Get the bravado and postering out the way and make a decision.....is it better to continue through pride and perhaps cause a catastrophe on a worldwide scale or accept the situation for what it is and negotiate the best outcome you can for your country and people.

Its a shocker of a situation for ukraine and russia are at fault but that does not mean to day that the onus is not on ukraine to resolve it.

There is no way russia will be busted in a few months....yes, they will be hit very badly but the oil and gas is still running and they can still trade with many.

Ukraine need to see sense, if they dont their country will be flattened, administration disposed of and their people spread out across europe and in dire straights....better to do a deal for all concerned.

Sense needs to prevail at some point!

On the bbc it states that russia recognise that zelenzsky is the rightful president of ukraine and at the negotiation meeting tomorrow there might be a ceasefire called and russia are seeking commitments that certain types of weapons should never be placed on ukrainian soil.

Obviously, i could not support russia in any way but given the situation i think this is progress and i hope ukraine seize it.

They simply must accept their location and that their neighbours will never accept an alternative without starting ww3.

Accept it, save your country/people and make it work to your advantage.

Who knows, in 25 years russia might join nato...unlikely yes but who knows!

I could not give 2 hoots for todays rise...its not even back to where it was a few weeks ago.

Lets see news of some meaningful contracts then we can breathe a sigh of relief that they are making real progress.
