Agreed Kalan, the comment about a dividend was laughable, almost insulting.
I note ABSA also have their fingers in the pie for the proposed SA sale and the problem is I have very little trust in JLP's Board but if this proposal had anything to do with covering debt, in full or part, JLP would have to issue an RNS and they haven't so I have to assume that profits for this year will cover current debt unless extensions have been agreed.
Looking at the latest segment breakdown for copper on it's own which was a net loss I can't see the logic behind selling the profitable part of the business to pursue the, currently, loss making part. If copper, and I mean cathode not "units" was running at 10k per annum and we were seeing growth I could see the reason for the proposed sale.
I'm currently of the opinion that the Board need to review our current CEOs performance and make an urgent decision.
