Probably a good call, another 7.8m warrants at 4p could be exercised over the next 5 weeks and if they are that may keep a lid on the SP, if it can't hold in the low 6s, my average, I may be interested in getting some more, surely the financials in 2024 can't get any worse. Who knows with JLP.

I think you have made a very good point there, Continental's due diligence for a new supplier would be very comprehensive, especially for one as small as CPX.

I see on the other board it's been alleged that the motion was thrown out.

Whilst, that post has not been substantiated with any evidence/link if the motion had been successful that would require an RNS by CPX and there hasn't been one, so perhaps it's true.

How CPX scale up production has always been a big question for me too. I'm sure that the production capacity at Sydney does not exceed 10m units per annum.

From memory production facilities are also sited in Malaysia and for some reason China comes to mind although I might be talking rubbish. Coincidentally, I believe Continental have a tyre plant in Malaysia.

I note that Jeff Colton has updated his LinkedIn profile within the last 24 hours and refers to the PPAP including manufacturing inspection process and CPX's ability to "reliably produce parts for automotive grade mass production". He does not clarify how many units is "mass" or where they will be produced.

@TDM, I agree this won't be just one supercap per vehicle IF this program does relate to TPMS. I doubt the unit cost for each DMT220 will be anymore than $3 but if this is TPMS related and number of units required is in the 10s of millions per annum (I'm assuming Continental don't need TPMS for every tyre they manufacture) then, and if CPX can produce such quantities, it would make the revenue for this one contract pretty decent IMHO.

Too may "Ifs" I'm afraid.

Continental have been working on the next gen tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and I'm hoping that the CPX tie in relates to new tyre sensors, which would indeed be huge. However, I have not found any evidence that confirms or suggests this whatsoever.

I agree it would be great to have an idea of volumes and unit price to estimate revenue/profit but as TDM said CPX will not be able to mention any of this due to their contractual obligations.

I don't agree this is a useless jam tomorrow RNS. CPX have to release this information as it could have a material impact to the value of their shares, as the market seems to think. Whether the rise holds or not in the next few weeks who knows but to have such an agreement with a Tier 1 automotive firm for a company like CPX is massive.

I still can't find what this "key automotive program" is but if Continental want to keep it hush-hush that can't be a bad thing.

Parkez, I have same view as you. If it's not granted then the defendant will look to settle to avoid a trial and I believe that most of these civil cases don't get to trial.

A 41% increase from what level of sales orders?

Those percentage figures looked good at first sight but if the sales order book in July and August were low then a 41% increase may be minimal. Why were those months picked to compare to? Was it because they were low sales months?

Perhaps CPX should confirm their monthly sales figures and then we could make our own minds up. If not then those figures are pretty much meaningless and that part of the RNS was just smoke and mirrors.

The key part of the RNS, other than the terrible revenue figures, was the reference to how little cash they have left and a clear indicator that debt will be used. But will that be enough to see CPX through the next 6-12 months?
