Many Councillors of all parties stand for election because they are uneducated, unskilled, inadequate gasbag dreamers who can't make an impact by working for a living. Most couldn't run a whelk stall. They get elected and then get handed portfolios which are well beyond their abilities to manage or understand. Parliamentarians are usually educated but equally inadequate as proved by the state of UK politics atm.

201 debacle and no skin in the game are my main gripes with Dilly.
